"More integration with other databases including DB2"
5/5
What do you like best about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

We are very happy with OEM 13c and the main features we liked is the automation patch feature and monitoring databases itself that make us easy to reach a rca and resolve some performance quickly. Also advisors and ASR and great features. The app navegability is good too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

Would be good to have more options on proxy configuration as some proxy products are different like bluecoat or may be more documentation on how configure it using this product. And on many environments we are having to create additional listeners on NOC network beacause network team restrict access from monitoring databases from NOC network and not uses data network interfaces.

Would be great DB2 mainly integration (more than exists today) so we can used it as a pattern for our environment as IBM is not doing so much improvement on DSM Product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"We use it for Oracle fusion middleware family and Databases"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

Oracle Enterprise Manager provides a single point of control for your applications and databases. It provides out of box automation in form of monitoring templates and reporting templates. I also love the new Administrative Group introduced in 13.1 version onward.

It's a single point for patch control for all your deployments being monitored through OEM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

While OEM makes monitoring super convenient and eliminates scope of human/scripting errors, administration using OEM requires special skills.

Also, OEM is resouce intensive and uses flash for loading pages with heavy charts and diagrams on it. This is quite slow. I have heard that in the new versions, Oracle is planning to use Jet instead of Flash to handle the slow page loading problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

The price for other product integration, such SQL Server, it is expensive for a lot of customers, and actually the most part of clients are just using Enterprise Manager with Oracle products, and they have another complementary tools like solarwinds, Quest Moniroting tools, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Oracle Enterprise Manager is the solution for those companies with a wide variety of skills. Whether your group have a highly refined trade skill or a Masters degree, they will be able to integrate Oracle seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

My one and only complaint with this device is that you have to be connected on-site when opening the app for the first time. The past two times I have purchased a new device, I needed to access our secure intranet the same evening. Unfortunately, I was unable to do this until having it reinstalled/validated the next day. "Monitoring and Administration for Oracle Enterprise Products"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

Oracle Enterprise Manager is a sophisticated monitoring and administration tool. It's easy to install and easy to add targets (monitoring targets). I like the security administration and patch recommendations. You don't have to look for required patches, OEM does it for you based on the targets you have added into it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

It's a resource intensive product. It uses a lot of CPU and memory. Also, licensing is complicated, apart from Base version, most components are individually licensed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"OEM: Great System Admin tool, needs in-roads for developers"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

OEM continues to improve. Now at 13c, takes into account that companies are now running on-prem and cloud applications. All round great tool on features and Oracle technologies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

Oracle centric tool.

IT teams are hardly Oracle only shops. Would be great if I could monitor my SQLServer from the same tool as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Oracle's on-premise administration and monitoring platform"

What do you like best about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

Oracle Enterprise Manager is a highly sophisticated administration and monitoring platform for all Oracle deployments in your organization. It is accessed via a browser which makes it even more convenient as client machine where OEM needs to be accessed doesn't have to be a specific platform. It has great components for patching and updates, monitoring etc. which over time makes you use it on daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Enterprise Manager?

You .may have to buy additional license for OEM based on what components of OEM you are using. It is resouce intensive and requires specialized professionals to install and manage OEM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
