What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?

Eloqua is a great platform for those who are new to the marketing game, and those who have been in the game for a long time and would like to step it up. There is a ton of functionality and it allows you to expand your strategy and ideas without needing to invest in other softwares too much. The intricacies of Eloqua are amazing and can basically be a CRM System for us without having an actual CRM system. It can be both the marketing team and the sales team all in one. What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?

Eloqua is not the easiest system to learn. It takes some times to figure out and train new team members on how to use the system well. What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?

I like the fact that Eloqua is quite easy to learn how to use, and the campaign canvas is great and allows you to easily lay out complex campaigns in a visual way so you can keep track of all the connections between the different campaign components, e.g. segments, emails, forms, non-opener follow ups, different pathways, etc. Reporting can be powerful once you know how to use it, and some very helpful reports are available out of box, so you don't have to build everything from scratch to start pulling statistics about your communications. Navigation is simple as everything is well labelled in the menu sections, and day-to-day usage is quickly picked up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?

The user interface feels quite dated, and most of it is in dull shades of grey, so it might be nice to have it more modernised. There is no optimization for mobile, which in some ways is understandable as you can do some complex things, but it may be handy to have a mobile version which offers the ability to quickly deactivate a campaign in an emergency. Also it lacks the ability to natively integrate with other systems, e.g. CRM or external reporting, meaning you may need middleware to achieve this, or go through cumbersome processes if you need multiple systems to communicate with each other. What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?

Eloqua is robust and does more or less what it promises. It has all the basic email marketing automation tools, as well as lead qualification etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?

The software is just extremely buggy, insanely unintuitive and not userfriendly. It does not lead the user easily through the email campaign process but expects the user to know what they want - and you must do it in one, specific (illogical-)Eloqua-way. I dont personally like the user interface, which is old-fashioned and engineering style. Looks like it was coded in the beginning of 2000s and never updated afterwards. The user experience follows the same pattern, as there are many illogical steps one has to do, which are simply not acceptable for a software in 2020. For example, Eloqua does not remember in which folder you were before you opened the email draft or campaign draft, and when you go back you have to start the path to the right folder from the scratch. It does not have any autosave, so you have to remember to save everything you were doing every few minutes. Because if you don't, some bug (which are common) probably strikes on the way and wipes out everything you were doing. I can't recommend this software, there are so many more user friendly, modern and cheaper options available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Besides the many advantages Eloqua brings, it became clear from the first weeks that not everything would be perfect and some of the features of that old platform would be missed, as Eloqua, for instance, won't have all the features in its Drag and drop Email Creation tool. It is web/cloud based platform that offers wide range of functions. It keeps in view the marketing of your company and by email marketing it makes newsletter. It integrates well with social media and with the help of it data is easily exported. It makes email campaigns and landing pages easy and integrates with other applications as well. The setting up of Oracle Eloqua is difficult and there are too many options which can be confusing for some users. There are glitches present here and there which needs to be fixed. There are some minor issues also present. The program builder is a bit complex. It is not user friendly and is a lot expensive as the starting price for ten users is 2000$ per month. There are a lot of things I must mention which are one of the best things. Firstly the segmentation feature which allows you to slice and dice your data. The 2 year contract pricing is kind of thing I didn't like much. There was a much hold of to reach to customer service. Reporting feature is making a bit difficulty and can be improvised at first.
