**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

Eloqua does everything an efficient Marketing Aumatation needs to do and so much more. Its ability to build and launch marketing campaigns plus incorporating custom programs makes Eloqua a powerful tool for large scale businesses to plan and execute their digital marketing initiatives.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Despite the minimal user interface, Eloqua requires an adequate level of technical ability for a user to become proficient. In addition, further product support requires working with Oracle Support, which is not a short process, especially when dealing with project-timeline sensitivity.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eloqua can build and launch comprehensive campaigns from simple data collection steps to processing data across platforms through its integration capability. Its feature of detecting and disclosing errors to users is beneficial in terms of resolving unexpected defects.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

In Eloqua, Creating Email is super easy and optimized. Campaign canvas is excellent, and you can easily disregard the Duplicates as Eloqua wont allow it during your list import.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Oracle can work a bit more on improving its UI, making it a little boring while working. Currently, the community is there; however, it is pretty complicated for an user to post their comment or overview when needed.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

If you are fed up with handling the duplicates and looking for a cool optimized automation tool, then Eloqua is there for you.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analysis, Reporting, Segment Creations, and Dynamic content are a few things that are super useful and easy to handle—sending a notification when a campaign is deactivated.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

The automation and API capabilities are very robust and powerful. You can set up a lot of complicated programs that others cannot. It's also easy to modify programs while active and see where contacts fall in each step. Lead scoring has multiple levels allowing you to really zero in on a good scoring strategy to move contacts through the marketing funnel and serve up good leads to sales.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Some components have outdated UI. The email composer has some flaws too. The segmentation functions could be a little more intuitive, I feel like other platforms have this component fleshed out a bit more. However, it's more of a learning curve than anything. The asset library feels a little clunky and dated from a UI perspective, it would be nice if this function as a bit smoother of an experience. From an administrator perspective, I would like to see more detail on user activity for audits. On the same token, I feel like the contact records could be presented in a more visually appealing way. As you could probably tell, the theme here is that it's a great system with a lackluster UI. Oracle could improve the system a thousand fold if they invested in a better UI/UX for the platform, which is it's main limitation.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

I would recommend this product for more intermediate and advanced marketing automation professionals. New users can onboard with relative ease for components such as email and landing page configuration.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Marketing automation - Multiple users with different security groups serving different functions can all operate efficiently off one platform. We also use the program to build out forms and secure landing pages.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

Easy to administrate and teach marketing users how to use the platform. This is due to the easy drag and drop nature of the email, segment, landing page, form and campaign builders.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Price ... quite expensive for what it is and all third party integrations increase this cost substantially. There are also some tools that give much greater email customisation with drag and drop that does not require technical skills.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

Take into consideration the skill level of your users. If you would like an easy to learn tool that doesn't require too much admin input on marketing campaigns after staff training, this may be the platform for you. However, the price point is a major hurdle to get past. If you use Salesforce as your CRM it would be best to look at Marketing Cloud or Pardot as well, the choice will depend on the skill level of your users.

Eloqua allowed us to use a marketing automation tool at all levels of our business and independent of the technical skills of a user. Whether this was through Eloqua Engage within Salesforce for sales staff to use or for full time marketers within the platform itself. The landing page builder also allowed our web devs the opportunity to completely code pages and password protect which was something that they were not able to do within our CMS.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

When you get familiar and create templates it is easy to use.
I like forms and flexibility for emails design, landing pages. Easy to edit and copy content. I do not know any competitors tools.

Sometimes edms got wrong and resizing pictures was causing issues. Pictures resizing and templates coul be easier. Reporting could also be easier. Drug and drop feature could be used.

Worth giving effort at the begining to benefit highly in the future.

Communications with customer. Managing events. Registration form. Newsletters. No direct financial benefits. I am more productive. I increase customer engagement.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

Oracle Eloqua is extremely powerful and most importantly can handle millions of records. There's not much you can't do in Eloqua in terms of marketing campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

What I disliked about my time with Eloqua was its reliability. There would be situations where it wouldn't always update to salesforce properly or a campaign would be fully activated. It took an entire department and more to get Eloqua fully optimized for what we needed it for. So the barrier for entry to get it all set up to begin with I'm sure is worse than many other marketing automation platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

I would make sure you look at what your company needs. I believe other platforms like Hubspot can do almost as much if not more. But not many applications can handle millions of records as Eloqua can.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the problems I had when I was using Eloqua was making sure integration time between Salesforce and Eloqua was as fast as possible and data connected perfectly. I realized after I stopped using Eloqua and instead used other platforms with different organizations since is Eloqua was incredibly powerful. Being able to create forms within Eloqua and easily capture all data needed is something many organizations still have trouble doing.

Most comfortable working with this platform with easy tools and interface.
It can manage many different matrices for the campaign with all data related to customers.
It has improved the speed of the mailing system at a better rate than other software.

They need to improve the user interface and navigation. 
Need to enhance tools and options for the report.

Eloqua allowed us to easily automate our marketing communications to our clients and prospects.  We were also able to view the analytics around engagement which was very beneficial as we were planning future campaigns.

Searching for communications that we sent through Eloqua was not very clean.  Not always easy to find things when searching in the platform.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

I liked the ability to see email sends and click opens.It boosted the confidence of our reps and allowed us to track efficiently. Being able to show the reps in sales force that marketing also sent emails and scores with chili peppers and stars was very helpful for them in follow up. The upsides are that it empowers our sales reps to micro market for themselves, in addition to our own macro marketing.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Running reports wasn’t my favorite task. It also wasn’t as user friendly as marketo that we used to use. It worked with our oracle platform and sales force but wasn't as powerful as others we had used. It took a little while for us to get used to (as with any new platform) but the algorithm it uses for lead tracking is sound and it was good for our reps to see the stats when a cold lead turns into a warm lead.

Communicating and micro marketing to clients using sales reps. Sales reps are more confident especially when templates are created. The scores were difficult to understand and communicate to the reps. The benefit is that we are able to communicate with our customers in real time snd ensure they know the products and services that are offered so they are educated.

marketing and email platform, setting up a campaign flow is pretty straightforward and it will automatically send emails to people that meet the criteria or are in that step of the flow.

The reporting capabilities are very limited, especially for lead generation. Basically, you can analyze basic metrics but not much more.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

The system is incredibly customizable for just about any marketing automation you need to do, including non-email channels. It's great for campaigns with multiple steps, and works well with a proper Salesforce CRM integration for delivering MQLs to sales teams.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

It should not be used with a unique identifier that is not email address. The "guts" of the system are not built for that, and it creates a situation where workarounds and glitches become the norm. Also, their tech support is terrible, and training that's worthwhile is very expensive. Documentation is lackluster but getting better. The platform itself is also quite costly for what you get compared to other similar platforms.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

Stick to email address as the unique identifier and make sure your CRM integration is done well. Hire a consultant if you can, as implementation is not as simple as a standard email platform.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've developed complex, multi-step, and multi-channel marketing campaigns that allow us to speak to customers who have and do not have an email address on file. This enhanced our marketing campaigns over the last 6 years. However, after 6 years, we are still struggling to see ROI because of the complexity of the platform.

Carousel banner and landing pages need to be easy. It should be no-code platform but requires heavy HTML tags for an experience landing page.

better than few competitors but have a technical person for backend integration, DB management, for designing landing pages

I really like the way that you can build up your e-mailcampaign from scratch and that it is easy to learn and take the following steps.

As a beginner there are too much options. I know that's too much options is not necessarily a disadvantage, but in the beginning it is. It then kind of feels that I was overloaded with information.

I would see just try and start using it. In the beginning you may need some support, because there are to many options. But you will definitely going to love it and see the value of it when you are using it over and over again. It is also a great opportunity to get in touch with some clients or prospects.

We did not have a e-mailplatform before and since we are using Eloqua we see the value of e-mailcampaigns and regularly update clients and prospects with information from our side. The benefits we have realized is that some prospects already have made orders.

Simple look and feel. Buttons and its dropdowns are pretty simple and easy to understand its functions.

GIves you an overview of your overall performance of the metrics listed in the tool. Graphical representation helps visually.

No user-based filters in dashboard view to see user-based performance. Overview dashboard can have more filters that can give a quick view of the performance metrics.

If you are starting a new email campaign, Eloqua is recommended as its very easy to use.

There are so many capabilities, it's a little oversaturated and there's definitely a learning curve.

I work in the conference business and can track orders and responses to various marketing activities. The system is only as good as you are, however, just like with a lot of software. If you stay organized and input your activities correctly, the software is fantastic.

The workflow workspace is amazing. And the integration space with other CRM tools is seamless.

The user experience can be improved, it's a bit complex to use compared to other tools like marketo and emarsys

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

It is efficient and powerful.
Eloqua has good features to integrate with all types of lead sources and collate all leads. This is very important so that you are able to implement common automations and effectively utilise all leads.

Further target the leads and for drip campaigns.
Drips can be setup and automated using easy to define rules and scenarios. And basis reactions the further steps are strategised and implemented.
Goals can be setup and viewed if they are being achieved.

The lead scoring methodology is quite effective. 
The lead scoring has very simple and logical definition. Simple steps and rules can be defined and 3X3 grid if lead scoring can be created. 
You may setup up further automatic steps basis lead scoring achieved.

Easy to export and import data.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

You need to negotiate for long term and for incremental lead base. Your lead base increases with time and thus you need to plan for future. As in general rate of increase of leads is higher than the rate by which you exclude them. Thus your lead base grows by the years.

Commercials are basis leadbase consumed per annum. Thus you may want to negotiate a multi-year deal with higher volumes every year.

They have slabs for lead volumes and incremental costs are much higher.
Thus the requirement of plan long term and negotiate for higher volumes.  

Else renewals make it too costly and sometimes make it a drain rather than a gain.

Eloqua is a great platform for those who are new to the marketing game, and those who have been in the game for a long time and would like to step it up. There is a ton of functionality and it allows you to expand your strategy and ideas without needing to invest in other softwares too much. The intricacies of Eloqua are amazing and can basically be a CRM System for us without having an actual CRM system. It can be both the marketing team and the sales team all in one.

Eloqua is not the easiest system to learn. It takes some times to figure out and train new team members on how to use the system well. It also is a system that takes a lot of time to configure correctly, especially if someone set it up without fully knowing what they were doing

Oracle Eloqua is a very robust system that takes a lot of time to get right. My company has been using it for well over 5 years and we are again just now scratching the surface of what the system can do. Take your time in learning because it is easy to start, and can take a long time to really get to a place of having full mastery of the product. But that is okay. Also, unless you have never done marketing before, do not get an Oracle University Subscription. Just talk to other users of the product.

I like the fact that Eloqua is quite easy to learn how to use, and the campaign canvas is great and allows you to easily lay out complex campaigns in a visual way so you can keep track of all the connections between the different campaign components, e.g. segments, emails, forms, non-opener follow ups, different pathways, etc. Reporting can be powerful once you know how to use it, and some very helpful reports are available out of box, so you don't have to build everything from scratch to start pulling statistics about your communications. Navigation is simple as everything is well labelled in the menu sections, and day-to-day usage is quickly picked up.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

The user interface feels quite dated, and most of it is in dull shades of grey, so it might be nice to have it more modernised. There is no optimization for mobile, which in some ways is understandable as you can do some complex things, but it may be handy to have a mobile version which offers the ability to quickly deactivate a campaign in an emergency. Also it lacks the ability to natively integrate with other systems, e.g. CRM or external reporting, meaning you may need middleware to achieve this, or go through cumbersome processes if you need multiple systems to communicate with each other.

My company is using Eloqua to send all internal and external email campaigns as we are able to track opens, click-throughs, everything, and can then make improvements based on the indications of this data, e.g. we can see which email addresses are effective, what kind of subjects lines are more appealing, and what kinds of emails are more successful. We can also use Eloqua for customer satisfaction surveys, as it can host pages as well as send emails, and it also connects with our website forms so that new leads are added to our database and added to nurture tracks. We are also using it to help us manage our subscription center and record subscription and unsubcriptions easily, and help keep our customer database recent, relevant and up-to-date.

Eloqua is robust and does more or less what it promises. It has all the basic email marketing automation tools, as well as lead qualification etc.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

The software is just extremely buggy, insanely unintuitive and not userfriendly. It does not lead the user easily through the email campaign process but expects the user to know what they want - and you must do it in one, specific (illogical-)Eloqua-way. I dont personally like the user interface, which is old-fashioned and engineering style. Looks like it was coded in the beginning of 2000s and never updated afterwards. The user experience follows the same pattern, as there are many illogical steps one has to do, which are simply not acceptable for a software in 2020. For example, Eloqua does not remember in which folder you were before you opened the email draft or campaign draft, and when you go back you have to start the path to the right folder from the scratch. It does not have any autosave, so you have to remember to save everything you were doing every few minutes. Because if you don't, some bug (which are common) probably strikes on the way and wipes out everything you were doing. I can't recommend this software, there are so many more user friendly, modern and cheaper options available.

Probably suitable if you like old and engineer-styled software and are ready to big penny for it. If you need something flexible, agile and modern, do not bother.

Changing the tactics of Eloqua I mean that instead of looking for some function it would be better to create a selection list with respect to the construction of a campaign.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

This is a very powerful tool when it comes to ETL, lead routing, data cleansing and standardization. When it coems to Eloqua WYSIWYG improvements, then they seem to continue to get better as well. This tool has lots of flexibility with segmenting and contacts, and it is also very easy to create emails and landing pages, visual layouts of campaign workflows. What is even better, it comes with a lot of various email statistic reports.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

There are just a few things that seemed to be more difficult than they should be. For example, not being able to create a picklist on the go within a form, or you just need to create a separate header each time if you wanted to use it for preview text. Once in a while it seemed to glitch and I'd need to "Save As" and try again to get it to work. Some of the customizable reports are clunky to build and take forever to load. There are even times when there is "too much" data to load a report!

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

Eloqua has so many possibilities for personalisation. The features can target different audiences using sophisticated filters or if-this-than-that logic so that the potential of a single email can be maximised.The newest design templates have much more customisation that are easier for marketers with less digital experience to use. 

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Unless you're specialising in digital marketing or email campaign management, most marketers wouldn't be able to manage an email campaign end-to-end. At my firm, although I have a moderate  knowledge of the system, we have an email automation team to build our campaigns once we've given them the different components. There needs to be a strong investment of time to gain an average knowledge for general use. 

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eloqua connects well with Salesforce as a CRM and we are looking to enhance the automation and communication between the two.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

What I really like about Oracle Eloqua is its powerful functions and features, such as its detailed segmentation that uses contact attributes, its high level of complementation with other systems. In addition to being able to work with a centralized database, it allows me to control who can access and which contacts. Its progressive and responsive design capabilities make it easy to design on the fly or make changes without having to have a designer code every time.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

I consider that it presents a somewhat old system, so it could make it a bit cumbersome to get basic concepts. I really don't like how scattered all the steps are to send an email.

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

As far as I am concerned, Oracle Eloqua is the recommended software if you need a large-scale marketing automation platform having a team a team with the ability, size and knowledge base to be able to implement it correctly, it can also be integrated with a Associated software to do the things that Eloqua cannot do. Very ideal for professionals and marketing companies, being the most robust solution in the market due to its great flexibility in terms of customization. It is impossible not to recommend it.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently we use Oracle Eloqua for the management and processing of potential customer data so Eloqua helps us solve it, currently this tool is used by our organization for general reports, some departments within the organization use it to create their own emails electronic, but it is also implemented to support the marketing department.
