The level of granularity you get with audience segmentation and the Canvas is still top-tier. In a large-scale environment like mine, being able to build complex, multi-step nurturing flows that actually respect regional data preferences is huge. I also appreciate how the reporting has evolved; it’s less about just seeing opens and clicks and more about understanding how our automation is actually touching the lead lifecycle.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

The UI feels incredibly dated compared to newer tools, which makes the learning curve unnecessarily steep for new team members. Also, the platform can be frustratingly unstable at times—I've experienced those 'unexplained crashes' or slow load times during peak hours that just eat up your productivity. The Insight reporting, while powerful, can also be a bit of a headache to navigate if you just want a quick, clean data export without jumping through ten hoops.

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the biggest benefit is the ability to centralize our nurturing logic so we aren't sending conflicting messages to the same lead from different business units. It also automates the data cleaning process before a lead even hits our CRM, which saves me hours of manual troubleshooting.

The automation workflows save me hours by automatically running nurture sequences, keeping us top-of-mind without micromanaging every outreach. Additionally, I value the platform's stability and its smooth integration with our other internal systems, which keeps our client communication centralized and professional. Lastly, the contact and data management is far more polished compared to basic email tools I've used before, allowing me to maintain clean, organized contact profiles.

From my experience using Oracle Eloqua, the initial setup and onboarding complexity is way too steep. It’s clearly built for dedicated marketing specialists, not engineering staff who just need straightforward client outreach tools. The backend settings, campaign structure, and contact database configurations have so many layered menus and technical options that it takes a lot of time to learn. There’s no simple, streamlined template for professional service firms like ours, so I end up digging through complicated menus just to set up basic email sends and contact groups. The user interface feels outdated and not very intuitive. Navigation isn’t always logical, and common everyday tasks take more clicks than they should. Simple things like editing existing campaigns, updating contact details, or pulling basic engagement reports aren’t as quick as they should be. For someone who doesn’t use it full-time every day, it’s easy to get lost in nested menus and waste time just trying to find basic functions.

Oracle Eloqua solves several key workflow and communication pain points in my role as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. It centralizes all client and industry contact data into one unified system, replacing scattered Excel spreadsheets, disjointed email lists, and disorganized personal inboxes that once caused duplicate entries and outdated records. The platform eliminates endless manual email drafting, scheduling, and routine follow-ups through robust automation and audience segmentation. I can group contacts by client type, project focus, and service interest to send tailored, relevant outreach instead of generic mass messages. Eloqua also delivers clear visibility into recipient engagement, letting me track email opens, link clicks, and resource downloads. I believe that Oracle Eloqua is a quite simple and user-friendly platform, any user with little knowledge can use it. I also understand that the initial setup was easy, as it was managed by the technology team.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

You couldn't generate too much customization or (we didn't know how to do it) since the support was completely nonexistent. There were no resources to learn how to make customizations or enhance email marketing campaigns. The personalization of the campaigns is an aspect that could definitely be improved. We had very little/no knowledge about how to make some configurations that are basic in email marketing. The integration of fields that allows me to have variable information to personalize email campaigns.

I use Oracle Eloqua for sending email campaigns. The platform is quite simple and user-friendly, useful for users with little knowledge.

I don't like the feel and look of Oracle Eloqua. It's a bit old and out of the current trend, which can make it difficult to navigate sometimes. I think there is room for improvement in how it is designed for navigation. A more seamless navigation system would be better.

Integrations, integrations, integrations. When it comes to CRM tolls this is the most disturbing issue at hand that why integrations would be improved to made easier.

For email design, templates and blocks can be pre-programmed, and then the creation of an email becomes a breeze. I also like how detailed the segmentation options are and the sending options from opt-in segments to shared lists that bypass opt-ins. We use those for mandatory standard or regulation change announcements.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

Eloqua is not intuitive and rather hard to learn. It is a tool that needs to be known and managed by dedicated IT specialists.

We do email marketing with Eloqua and segmenting our customer base for ABM purposes. It allows to send to hundreds and thousands of addresses and the campaigns can be timed, which is very productive.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

From my experience it creates sales leads when integrated with Salesforce and finds out the optimal time for a customer to receive a mail so that it won't be left unread

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

It is good but Salesforce marketing cloud rather a good choice over Eloqua.  Since businesses needs to spend too much money on Eloqua compared to other providers

It can be user in data validation mainly as we keep getting data and mainly unique identifiers like emails where some of them are invalid and the same will be rejected by eloqa

Oracle Eloqua is a complete product where you can host your site with no limitation, Capture potential leads, Segment with business attributes, and  Send Emails to create more demand. Its a complete package.

It has to catch up with the trend. Right now Marketing is not limited to Emails alone. They need more features like whatsapp marketing. Persona based marketing. It lacks the AI and ML features in it.

We are able to reach our potential clients through emails easily and we are able to track how our contacts and leads are responding to our emails. We are able to end the product updates to our existing contacts as well.

Everything - email builder, segment, program canvas, campaign canvas, lookup tables, picklists, update rules, landing pages, forms. You name it, I love it.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

So far I have heard about it it's not as good as some of its competitors like Marketo or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, but not having used those I am not sure about that.

Helping us integrate all our tools in our martech stack is a big one, and Eloqua is handling it like a champ! It really is amazing!

Although, Eloqua is a great platform but still some great features are missing out from it which can make it a even better version considering its end to end functionality.

Oracle should work on Browser specific issues.
Lagging in complex business logic implementation facility.
Lead scoring is not so effective ( Organizations have much more complex scoring logic)

**Recommendations to others considering Oracle Eloqua:**

Use the tool if you have a straight forward B2B operations. For more complex segmentation, we should rely on different tools likr Audience Manager.

Our whole marketing email system and 75% of the lead generation part is rely on Eloqua. As the tool is simple any one can learn it quickly and create necessary business flow in this app.

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

Everything just works without the need of an army of developers to build and connect the various components needed in a successful multitouch campaign. I have used all of the top B2B Marketing automation platforms and this takes the cake. It truly has a well thought out and intuitive flow from creating segments and working with includes vs excludes, building out your email templates, landing pages and then there are the forms - the powerhouse of automation within... then you have the campaign canvas that ties in all of the workflows to whatever your marketers little heart desires. Things are easy to fix and move around and very visual for troubleshooting when things don't go as planned. The learning curve is short. I can get a user who has never touched any marketing automation tool sending out communications within an hour.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

The bean counters in oracle thought they could get away with charging for education... so the talent pool is shallow, people either know it very well or just on the surface. They really should give their training for free. Even after 10 years of using the tool I am continuously learning new tricks...

**What problems is Oracle Eloqua solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use eloqua for among many things, lead capture. The forms area is one of the most important areas for our enterprise. We also use it cor campaign attribution as it is one of the only platforms that can natively process all attribution with a built in campaign response hierarchy that triggers updates to the salesforce CRM. That helps us have full closes loop reporting when joining all responses with our opportunity closed/won data. No other tools really can do that... If you want attribution you really need to read in between the lines of what other tools can't do. SFMC doesnt even use the campaign object!

**What do you like best about Oracle Eloqua?**

The Oracle Eloqua is widely becoming a market leader in marketing now a days. We have been using this for more than two years and never got disappointed. We can easily target audiences from multiple channels. The language support is win – win  situation for Oracle Eloqua as none of their competitors are supporting a vast library of languages. The most important use of Oracle Eloqua is its automation abilities the whole process can be easily minimized using its automated functions. Email creation is super-duper easy and a lot of complicated functions can be done quickly.

**What do you dislike about Oracle Eloqua?**

The biggest disadvantage of Eloqua is it’s not easy to learn for someone who is not an IT expert. It takes me like six months to fully teach them to my workers and adaption to Eloqua also takes time as we were using something else before using Eloqua. The interface and UI is very much boring it should be more attractive and smooth design. Other than this I didn’t have any problems with Eloqua. They really need to improve in these areas.

Overall, a good software but they highly need to reduce their prices as their prices are much higher than their competitors. Its beneficial for small business and most of their clients are small business owners and for them its price tag is not budget friendly as compare to big business they can afford easily. They should really focus in these areas, overall, highly recommend it to others.

Being a Marketing automation platform, the best thing Oracle Eloqua has is its ease of access and its ability to drive the customers campaign process as per their need and behavior and all that on automation

It's a bit complex and sophisticated to use; for an employee to understand its features and workings need at least two months, and for complete integration and adaptation of this software to an organization, it takes at least four-month

Well, If you have an organization that has a big size and wants to manage leads with lesser efforts, this is the software that you may consider, but let me be clear on one part that if we compare it with other software that provides automation, this Oracle Eloqua seem to be a bit over-priced

The most significant pain area that the oracle eloqua solves in an organization is putting the whole marketing and sales operation on automation. This provides a nice medium to Nurture leads, manage them and follow them up to closure that too with minimum manual efforts

To be honest our Eloqua integration didn't allow us to do much, the one thing I can tell is that the drag and drop interface was pretty straightforward.

It was difficult to do anything as plug and play, every complex journey we needed to do required some development work and to request help from someone who has more technical knowledge.

Integrations - It offers integrations with  Swiss range of about  100 third party tools!
Offers a nice design for visual campaign builders.
Hypersite Builder -
It allows enterprises to build quick ,personalized micro sites dynamically base on the users' content.

It's expensive , starting at around 2000$ per month.
This tool doesn't have a mechanism to track the enterprises PPC!
