"Commerce cloud helps companies reduce their got to market time"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle Commerce?

I previously worked on it's predecessor platform Oracle ATG, which was an ecommerce platform ahead of its time, both powerful and feature rich. Oracle commerce cloud is an abstract version of Oracle ATG in terms of maintenance or lead time to go to market. It maintains the same set of features, nonetheless is a lot less complex than ATG both in terms of code or maintenance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Commerce?

The platform no doubt is a headless platform. However, it is inconvenient for a developer to start thinking in API's for a simple task like adding a new field or a complex task like uploading a file. The UI has to be extended to be more developer friendly which could actually speed up the development time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Go to framework to build ecommerce applications from scratch!"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Oracle Commerce?

Oracle commerce provides a framework to build ecommerce application with off-the-shelf components available to rapidly build and deploy an ecommerce web-application. It provides components to enable use-cases like browsing the catalog, creation and managing of a shopping cart, robust user authentication, dynamic order pricing, order checkout pipelines etc. One feature I like is the concept of Droplets and Formhandlers in Oracle webcommerce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Oracle Commerce?

The documentation is not very easy to go through and understand especially when you want to customize an existing component to add additional functionality. The concepts of droplets and formhandlers are easy to grasp whereas certain feature like pre-calculators, express checkout formhandlers, promotions engine, post-calculators takes time and experience to master and implement for large ecommerce application use cases. Oracle commerce applications are usually created as a monolith which may become a bottleneck to the scalability of you ecommerce application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
