Issuing is very easy and normally goes without a hitch. However, if you are not part of the main contracting team ie: one of the partners or the sub contractors you at the mercy of the main contractor to help with terminating workflows and looking into problems with workflows. **What do you dislike about Oracle Aconex?** What I do find frustrating is the fact that once my team have been added to a project they can't actually view all of the information that is on the project without it being transmitted to you or your team. I would like the online training to be a bit more simplistic for the new starters. **What problems is Oracle Aconex solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have realised that having a system like Oracle Aconex is so very productive in bringing the whole team together. I really like the drag and drop file upload option which could be used to upload multiple files in one shot. The dashboard feature makes the control management effective and more productive for larger teams. **What do you dislike about Oracle Aconex?** The cost is high compared to a number of other document management and team collaboration tools. A portion of the regulatory confinements keep the administrators from being as controlling as they should be (i.e. can't restrict users, can't change the status of documents, can't make and include our own user defined statuses or record types, restricted dashboard). **Recommendations to others considering Oracle Aconex:** The primary enhancement I might want to see in Aconex is that both a native document and pdf file can be kept in the one record rather than requiring 2 separate records. **What problems is Oracle Aconex solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we started using Aconex, it used to be a problem when a team member leaves the team or organization. The length of 8 characters is not enough, should be at least 20. Combine Workflow Mail Treads up to WF final Transmittal. Include supplementary files on those WF Final Transmittal. WF step back, and last but not the least being able to start a Sub Workflows from parallel steps on WF’s. It tracks communication and keeps all communications in the same series. You're able to include different people in different groups. This software is versatile that we can also use it to communicate with other companies, and send out request for proposals. **What do you dislike about Oracle Aconex?** Without any training this software can be somewhat hard to navigate, and not very user friendly if you're not familiar with the function or purpose. It also doesn't support the "back" button in my browser, which drives me nuts! **Recommendations to others considering Oracle Aconex:** Definitely have someone on staff who is trained and knows there way around, users will need additional support in navigating this software. However, very useful for multipurpose business needs. **What problems is Oracle Aconex solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use this to invite subcontractors to bid on bid packages, it tracks when they receive and open, and who was invited. Gives them access to upload their bids, and for us to transmit several documents for them to access. It also allows us to transmit official communication with the owner on our project, keeping everything secure. ### 30. I have to click on my mail only and search every time. I'm sure there's a way to adjust this, I just haven't found the settings for this. **Recommendations to others considering Oracle Aconex:** Take some time to click around in Aconex.
