Been using OpusClip as a Pro user for about two months. This is an incredible timesaver! I typically upload a 12-15 video daily and out pop 10-15 clips ranging from 30 seconds to two minutes (using the auto settings), Each is branded with colors and a logo of my choosing.

The whole process is so easy — even editing takes very little time. I just download and post away. (I haven't used the posting tools built in.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Two things are annoying. First, I've tried using OpusClips for videos with a moving speaker and it just doesn't work. I can split frames and position the speaker, but that's tedious andOpus is supposed to do this automatically.

Second, editied captions don't always sync with the video. Sometimes words will show up in captions that aren't in the audio; other times the audio still plays when I deleted words from the captions. Probably 85-90% accuracy in this area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The main benefit of OpusClip is that you can quickly create short branded videos to share across social platforms.

The captions functionality is great. It generates very accurate subtitles and you can very easily edit them (though this is rarely necessary) and change the font, colour, and positioning.

Often, the clips that OpusClip produces have odd frames in between sections of video. These look a bit janky and are very hard to remove as editing functionalities are limited.

Another thing I often find frustrating is that the video keeps playing at full speed while you're editing it, so while you're trying to change one part of the video, it moves to another.

I bought OpusClip specifically for using it to clip down my YouTube videos and use them for social platforms like Instagram and Facebook. Then I realized my superpower of Pinterest marketing using OpusClip to promote my YouTube content further. So I use this tool to drive more engagement, views and traffic to my YouTube videos that are embedded in my blogs. I get more engagement from my clips out of Opus using Pinterest than any other platform so that's where I will continue to use it. I love how easily I am able to turn my long form content into short form content. Short form content is taking over as far as what brings people in to your programming, however, long form content still dominates as the most entertaining type of project. Being able to produce the long form content as we always have and then have this easy way to share it in the more modern short-form format is a game changer. One of the biggest downsides for me is the limitation when I am creating a short - the program decides what section of script I can cut from but sometimes I wish I could choose more before or after what I have. Along with that, AI remains imperfect. I can't put product in and have it ready for release without additional editing, however, the time saving is totally worthwhile. Opus is an excellent time saver if you have longer clips that you'd like to repurpose into shorter clips. For example, you can take a video podcast and create 20-30 short clips for IG reels, TikTok, and YouTube shorts. The clips are automatically selected for potential virtality. The Opus team is continuously taking customer feedback and adding features and changes. It's quite accurate with its transcriptions and automatically adds captions.
