Optrak is route optimisation software for distribution fleets that run diesel, electric and alternative-fuel vehicles together. It builds daily delivery and collection routes automatically, deciding which vehicle does which drops and in what order, against real driver shifts, vehicle limits, customer time windows and journey times that change through the day. Loading is checked while the route is built, not afterwards. Weight, volume, compartments and delivery sequence are tested as the plan is made, so the routes can physically be loaded and unloaded in the right order. A 3D loader handles goods that stack, a 2D loader handles multi-temperature trailers with moveable bulkheads, and a bulk loader handles compartmented tankers, including which products can follow which without a wash-out. Electric and mixed-fuel fleets are planned on real range, not a single figure. Optrak works out how much charge an electric vehicle will use on each stretch of road from its weight at that moment, the hills, the traffic and the time of day, and puts charging stops into a rounelectric, HVO, CNG and LNG vehicles sit in the same plan with per-route cost and CO₂. Vehicles, drivers and trailers are separate resources. A vehicle can be shared across shifts, worked by more than one driver, and a tractor can change trailers mfrom lorry-aware speed data held as a curveacross the day. Every plan is kept. Cost and CO₂ can be broken down by customer and route over any period. Bigger decisions, different fleet, a new depot, a contract bi are tested by running the changed operationthrough the same optimiser and comparing the two plans side by side. Optrak is used in multi-temperature distribution for convenience and food service, in bulk multi-compartment distribution of fuels, lubricants and cheming the transition to electric HGVs. It is acloud platform, built and supported in the UK, with an API for order and fleet integration.
