## Optimizely Web Experimentation Reviews
 ### 1. Optimizely definitely helps with A/B Testing.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris L. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2014

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The best part about Optimizely is that it really helps you think through your A/B testing of your website.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I dislike how much code is involved. Sometimes the code gets to be complex when actually implementing it onto your website. They make it sound easier than it is.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

Have a good coder on hand when you go to implement the optimizely codes. Otherwise it is really hard to make it work the way you want it.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We figure out what calls to action give us the best ROI.

 ### 2. Optimizely

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Overall Optimizely works great and is easy to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

Easy tool for people with tech backgrounds or more limited tech backgrounds to use for AB testing of a website. Provides quick results that you can act on.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Easy to use; doesn't require any assistance from a developer.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I would appreciate more guidance on testing best practices, and an tool to estimate how long it will take for a test to reach statistical significance.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

Take advantage of their free trial to test it out.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Optimizely allows for simple management of multiple front end optimization tests, which allow us to incrementally increase conversion rates.

 ### 4. Optimizely makes landing page testing easy.

**Reviewed by:** Matt H. | Senior Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

 ### 5. great

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2014

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

the 50/50 testing capability and the test results are straight forward to read

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

a/b testing. we have been able to find features that really make a difference

 ### 6. Very useful and relatively easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben B. | Director of Marketing, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2013

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Really awesome tool. Install the script on your site and test away. No altering the script on your site... same snippet of code is used on every page, so an include works excellently. The editor is slick (though it does struggle with arranging content at times, which is when we just open up the html and do it directly). All around a great tool that has helped us optimize our pages.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

We're on the $80/month plan, which has just enough credits that we can do testing of interior pages (that don't get much traffic). We ran a test on the homepage and it used our monthly quota in about a week. Sadly, they don't have a mid-tier package. Instead you go from $80/month up to $400/month if you want a quota to do a lot of testing.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

Do it! It's a great place to start. Once you're a testing wizard you can move up to a bigger, more expensive tool.

 ### 7. Useful & Cheap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2014

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The ease of use for those that are not coders.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

I dislike that they do not have traditional decks to help sell to clients.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

This is an easy way to do A/B testing without lots of coding.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The product allows me for A/B testing.

 ### 8. Optimizely is a badass A/B testing tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor B. | Cofounder, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2014

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Great WYSIWIG editor and strong support team.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Because it's a technical product there are bugs. The solid support team is a big help when those issues arise.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main solution here is to have A/B testing options without needing to use development resources.

 ### 9. Best Multi-Variant Testing Tool Available

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Or C. | Vice President Operations, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2013

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

The ability to test your market segments with proof of concepts and design ideas.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

There is nothing that I dislike about this product.

**What problems is Optimizely Web Experimentation solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to gauge how much traction we get with our site visitors before actually making site changes.

 ### 10. A/B testing that's (somewhat) painless for marketers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joshua K. | Growth Hacker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2013

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

WYSIWYG interface pulls in web assets and lets you change them on the fly. Optimizely is perfect for quickly testing copy, colors, etc. It's relatively inexpensive to get started testing

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

It's not a full-fledged design tool. Once you start trying to redesign pages, formatting can get tricky. You'll need to live with a good deal of repetition and trial and error for more complex make-overs, BUT at least you won't need to wait on a designer and coder.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

Go for it. Overall great tool!

 ### 11. Exciting A/B Testing Startup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erich R. | Co-founder & CSO, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2012

**What do you like best about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

This tool is an excellent way of doing very complicated testing scenarios to determine the best variation of a specific page. Ability to run A/B, multivariate testing, etc. Excellent JavaScript API.

**What do you dislike about Optimizely Web Experimentation?**

Not much, this tool is pretty great.

**Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Web Experimentation:**

Consider using the integration to analytics firms, i.e. Optimizely has a great integration to KISSMetrics, if you're using that.
