It works as an excellent browser for regular use as the newly released Opera GX comes with controls to limit RAM and bandwidth so that the browser is well-optimized for your computer. In general, Opera is pretty fast compared to other browsers available today. It comes with an in-built VPN and Adblock to prevent websites from tracking you, stealing your personal information, and loading ads that slow down your browsing. It has all the necessary settings, such as blocking pop-ups and incognito mode, readily available so that you can start using it from the get-go without any hassle. It allows seamless and quick importing of history, bookmarks, passwords, and other information from any browser to help you retain all your previous data if you're new to Opera or Opera GX. Opera GX is an upgrade from the standard Opera browser with new features such as the GC Control, where you can find which tabs are using the most CPU resources and RAM under the Hot Tab Killer section. You can also use the Network Limiter and RAM Limiter sections to limit the data and memory Opera GX can use, which is incredibly efficient and beneficial for computers with less than 16GB of RAM. If you're on limited internet data, this can also help you preserve a lot of data while downloading or watching media that can drain your data quickly. The GX Cleaner shows a detailed list of the space occupied by browser data such as cache, history, downloads, cookies, etc. so that you can keep track of the hard disk space it occupies and clean them seamlessly without a third-party application. Opera GX comes integrated with Twitch, Facebook Messenger, and a Music Player where you can connect any streaming service to use them on the sidebar while browsing. One of the best features of Opera GX is My Flow, which allows you to connect your desktop to your phone seamlessly for file transfer and sending messages. I don't dislike anything about Opera GX. The standard Opera browser had some issues with how much RAM it was consuming, but Opera GX combats all of its problems perfectly and makes the overall browsing experience excellent. Recommendations to others considering Opera: If you're looking for a more stabilized browser with better customizations and controls over resources, Opera GX is the best browser available. It's free and open-source, much like the standard Opera browser. You can also use Opera on many devices such as mobile phones of both Android and iOS operating systems. I use Opera GX as my primary browser as it's perfect in every way. It's an excellent browser for work and related tasks due to its high security and ease of use. I can use it reliably to manage personal and business finances without any worry of data theft or confidential information falling into the wrong hands. The in-built VPN is excellent, with various servers to choose from to maintain online privacy, anonymity, and prevent any malicious websites from tracking your information. Opera GX has an ideal incognito mode that retains all of your extensions, making them usable even when you're browsing privately. The smoothness of Opera GX makes it a perfect browser for using and working on web applications. I use web clients and applications for many different software such as Zoom, Google Workspace, and manage documentation and spreadsheets seamlessly. It comes with an excellent PDF reader with robust readability features, making it a fantastic browser overall for more than just general browsing. Opera GX has broad extension support, similar to Opera. Although Opera GX is also based on Chromium, the browser has a much cleaner UI with improved redesigns to make it compatible with any machine for improved stability and enhanced browsing.
