We needed an inexpensive way for remote workers to connect to our customers via an ipsec tunnel network established at Google. This does that. The client is lightweight. I like how there are multiple endpoints that we can connect to. It's taken some experimentation to figure out which endpoint works better than others. Periodically we need to change from Chicago to Boston, Dallas, or Los Angeles when one of the nodes stops working. Would prefer that it manage all that itself, but at least it's not a one-node-and-done solution. 2024-12-12: The stability of the nodes has improved substantially. We haven't had any node inconsistencies for quite a while now. We've actually dropped most of our GCP networking connections in favor of OpenVPN because of cost, ease of implementation, and stability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about OpenVPN CloudConnexa? Licensing is by device, so if you have multiple machines for a single person, it costs more. Seems that since the rebranding, the service hasn't been nearly as stable as it was before. Often times our guys will get caught in a reCaptcha loop, unable to login. 2024-12-12: Everything is really stable these days, and the cost of OpenVPN, even with licensing by device, is far less expensive than the other options. Our staff is all over the country and we use it to connect to our servers in GCP and our customers in a GCP IPsec network. Without this, we would have to find something else to connect to our Google VPN to our customers. And we did try other things, but ... they just didn't quite work out. 2024-12-12: We've been actively working to eliminate our GCP network as the OpenVPN network is faster and more reliable. One drawback I’ve experiencing is that creating multiple new network connections through the UI can be time-consuming, as each network must be created sequentially rather than in bulk. The process of installing openvpn is simple and secure. Once loaded I can connect to their system whenever they need help. It's pricing is fair especially considering the time it saves and the ease of connecting. Their portal is clear and easy to understand. Customer support is also quick and helpful. On the speeds front, I'd like to mention our new Data Channel Offload feature is improving speeds dramatically with huge performance gains - I'd encourage anyone dismayed about any speed issues to flip it on.
