What do you like best about OpenText Server Backup?

Having my files backed up. I'm on Mac, and it's easy enough to go in the system settings and restore any necessary files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Server Backup?

This might not be the fault of Carbonite or rather my employer not explaining it, but the difference between different Carbonite products is really unclear. Carbonite Pro, Endpooint, etc. I'm not really sure how to use Endpoint now that I've switched and none of it is intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering OpenText Server Backup:

It's totally serviceable. It's just the software we use at my company, I don't really know much about alternatives but throughout me changing computers and losing a few huge files, it's definitely been reliable and saved my butt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenText Server Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?

Any past problem solving mostly involved me looking up how to do stuff. I can usually figure it out with their online resources. The realized benefits are simply knowing I can pull an old backed up file if I mess something up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenText Server Backup?

I like the ease of use and reliability. Knowing that I can access the dashboard and get a comprehensive understanding of our fleet's statuses is very useful. I've used other backup solutions before, and this one seems to be the best when it comes to being able to monitor statuses quickly and easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Server Backup?

Occasionally the client will just fail to connect to the server. That gets annoying. Everything will be updated and current, the device is connected to the network, and often it even shows on the device that it's connected, but even after restarting the DC service it still doesn't back up. What do you like best about OpenText Server Backup?

With this application, all my files are saved on only one side.

I have access, to back up new files. and in the same way, it is possible to recover them immediately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

With Carbonite, I have improved the way I can safely have my files in one place.

if my device gets damaged. I'm not worried as I can get my files back just by re-installing carbonite. and thus restore all my data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenText Server Backup?

The versatility of the server software has been great and very easy to use. As an admin you're allowed a pretty wide range of tools to manage your environment which has made using Carbonite a great experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenText Server Backup?

Unfortunately, there aren't too many negative points about the software we've been using. For backups, there was initially a cap on the size of files that can be backed up to the cloud but this has since been mitigated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Carbonite server allows our team to backup our workstations to the cloud providing a sense of security to our team. This helps in the off chance there should be any data loss. With a customizable timetable for backups, and what items the backups should focus on; it's safe to say that Carbonite allows us the needed sense of security when it comes to potential data loss.
