What I like most about OpenText Core Share is its strong enterprise-grade security and compliance framework—it’s built specifically for teams that handle sensitive, regulated content. I really value the detailed access controls and full audit trails; we can track every view, download, edit, and share, which is essential for compliance and accountability. Being able to set granular permissions, set link expirations, and revoke access at any time gives us complete control over our files, even when sharing externally. The seamless integration with our existing enterprise systems also stands out. It fits smoothly into our workflow instead of forcing us to adapt to it, making secure collaboration feel natural rather than restrictive. I also appreciate its reliable version control—it eliminates confusion from outdated drafts or duplicated files, keeping teams aligned efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, the user interface can feel a bit dated and less intuitive compared to newer cloud collaboration tools. It takes new team members longer to learn where features are, and some common actions take extra clicks. Second, real-time collaboration and co-editing aren’t as fluid or fast as tools like Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. For teams that need to edit documents together live, it can feel slow. Third, mobile experience is functional but not great. The app works for basic tasks like viewing or sharing files, but it’s not as responsive or user-friendly as we’d like for heavy on-the-go work.
