"It's good, I enjoy it very well!"

4/5

What do you like best about openSUSE Tumbleweed?

The community and documentation! It's always really nice when you come across an issue and there is a fix out there somewhere without having to go on a long bug hunt!

It's not a matter of picking the most used option out there. More or less weighing the benefeits and downsides of the operating system is not enough. If it doesn't have a large enough userbase there is no community. But it doesn';t mean that because a distro/OS has a big community means that its good. For example look at Ubuntu, it has many users but is not good in my personal opinion. Therefore I think openSUSE tumbleweed is a great option in the middle.

Also the fact that it is supported on many hardware platforms makes it usable across the board. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about openSUSE Tumbleweed?

There isn't much I really dislike. It's more that I don't appreciate how it looks. Which is a stylistic preference. not so much openSUSE related.

The install image is also very big, opposed to something like Gentoo linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering openSUSE Tumbleweed:

Smaller install packages! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is openSUSE Tumbleweed solving and how is that benefiting you?

We at our company have been looking for a stable and usable OS for a while. Something we can rely on without much thought. As we're a small team, it's not very handy to have to worry about daily updates or security patches. More or less the fact that it runs and it runs. no questions asked. I think thats a good thing that we're reaping the benefits of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
