What do you like best about OpenOffice?

I really love that OpenOffice has many different types of useful office programs in a single download. I can save text documents in many different formats, making it easier for others to load them correctly on their machines. I can also obtain files generated by other office documents in other formats and have them load correctly in OpenOffice. I really love open source software like OpenOffice because it is widely used and frequently updated for the most recent needs of users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenOffice?

The design of OpenOffice is probably not the best when it comes to layout types and user interfaces that are up-to-date. There are certain differences when it comes to spacing and other features between this and other office suites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a very solid office suite, I will suggest OpenOffice that most people will probably have no trouble learning how to use. I think that if you find yourself in a situation where you can't find answers within the available OpenOffice tools, you can actually look at some documents from competitors and figure out some issues. What problems is OpenOffice solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can use OpenOffice for almost all paper needs in my office. Such specifications include contracts, press releases, reports, presentations, and a whole lot of different requirements for spreadsheets. What do you like best about OpenOffice?

Had most of the features I used with Word and Word Perfect Corel and it was Free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenOffice?

I did have a difficult time printing envelopes, but that was relatively infrequent. I also had some difficulty viewing excel spreadsheets (but I think this depended on the level of detail of the excel sheet vs Open Office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
