Its capable of opening most documents that Microsoft Suite would also open, its cheaper than many other products and relatively easy to work with.

Lots of crashes. If I have too many documents open at once it likes to crash. It isn't as easy to work with as some of the more expensive products.

When using some of the sub-products, like the spreadsheets, the formulas aren't always compatible with those used in excel.

It loads up pretty slowly on my workstation. Spmetimes I give up on it and I open my Windows Virtual Machine to use Office Instead.

This product is not as mainstream as Microsoft products, so its often a little more difficult to find help. I use google to solve a lot of problems, and to learn more about the tools I'm using. There are always things that could be done better. I think with Open Office, there isnt always the same compatibility with other programs that is offered by competitors, but it serves its purpose.
