Recommendations to others considering OpenOffice Base:
It's a great piece of software and it excels at what it does, if you are not looking for the bleeding-edge updates and improvements, but rather want stuff done as quickly as possible, it's a great choice. You are free to use it on as many computers and for as many users as you like, no hidden fees or back-doors for spying and/or data-mining. But if you're looking for frequent updates and bug-fixes, a somewhat improved UI then LibreOffice would the obvious choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
