It may be an option the organization can pursue, but at this time, it would be nice if it incorporated the FEMA information and our GIS information, so everything was accessible from one page. It is a product that is concerned about the user experience and the simplicity of the design and customer interface help drive its use and adoption. The visual workflow tells customers and employees exactly where a permit is in the review process, and the ease of configuring new forms and making tweaks to the workflow allows us to continually improve the customer experience and our reviews. If there is a weakness (and that is a real "if") it is with reporting across different permit types. It is possible to do, but mostly by aggregating data in Excel after it is exported. It has fully digitized our permit submission process and allowed us to digitize our review processes as well. This has driven electronic payments and sped up our review times for most permits.
