"From paper piles to proactive literacy success: OpenEduCat transformed how we run our programs"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

t Ignite Reading, we manage literacy programmes across multiple schools and campuses, and OpenEduCat has brought much needed cohesion. We used to juggle separate spreadsheets for enrollment, attendance, reading assessments and parent communication; now everything lives in one system: student profiles, academic history, reading levels, results, attendance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

The “go live” phase required more internal coordination than I’d anticipated. Because the system is comprehensive, our literacy team needed extra training and we needed set up time to map our unique reading programme workflows into OpenEduCat’s modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

Hello Dawn Q.,

Thank you for sharing such a comprehensive and insightful review. We’re truly delighted to learn how OpenEduCat has helped Ignite Reading bring structure and cohesion to your literacy programs across multiple campuses.

"From therapy logs to campus wide clarity: OpenEduCat empowers our SLP operations"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

In my role as a Speech Language Pathologist at Patheous Education I often juggle student profiles, therapy session schedules, attendance tracking, progress data and cross department communication. OpenEduCat has allowed us to centralize all those workflows student enrolment, attendance, performance evaluation into one unified platform thanks to its modular student information, course planning, exam & grading, and fee modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

Because our therapy department has specialised needs (e.g., multi session tracking per student, custom progress metrics, parent SLP communication logs) the initial setup and customisation required more time and effort than we originally budgeted. The flexibility is a strength, but it meant more consultancy involvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Flexible and Scalable School Management Platform That Supports Real Educational Growth"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

As the Chief Development & Learning Officer at Vantage Education AG, what stands out most about OpenEduCat is its true modularity and flexibility. Because it’s built on the Odoo/Flectra frameworks, we can structure our academic, administrative, and learning workflows exactly as we need them without being locked into rigid systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

OpenEduCat’s strength its modularity also means that institutions without technical expertise may require implementation support. A few advanced customizations need professional configuration, especially when integrating external tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Modular, School Focused ERP That Grows With Us Excellent for Transparency & Efficiency"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

OpenEduCat makes it easy for our school to bring all core functions under one system. We can manage student information, attendance, grading, fees, and communication without juggling multiple platforms. It is modular and flexible, so we started with only the features we needed and added more later as we grew. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

The onboarding process requires a lot of time and effort, especially for schools without technical staff. Some modules and dashboards still feel less polished, which means new users take longer to get comfortable. Pricing also climbs quickly once you scale up with more users or need premium features, which can be challenging for smaller schools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

Hello Jeffrey P.,

Thank you for sharing such a detailed and thoughtful review!

We’re thrilled to know that OpenEduCat’s modular approach enables Mastery Schools to start small, scale features as needed, and manage student data, attendance, grading, fees, and communication all in one place. Flexibility and transparency are exactly what we strive to provide.

Your feedback on onboarding, dashboard usability, and scaling costs is extremely helpful. We’re continuously enhancing our interface and expanding training resources to simplify setup for schools without dedicated IT staff, and we’re exploring pricing models that better accommodate growing institutions.

It’s wonderful to see how OpenEduCat is streamlining your operations and improving efficiency.

"Driving operational efficiency and transparency across campuses a game changer with smart pricing"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

At The Citizens Foundation, we manage multiple campuses and a high student turnover; OpenEduCat has enabled us to bring student enrollment, fee collection, course scheduling and assessment tracking all into one system. What previously required multiple spreadsheets, manual reconciliations and departmental hand-offs now flows through a centralized dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

Because many institutions are using it across different geographies and languages, occasionally we encountered localisation issues (currency/date formats) that needed manual correction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

"Unified ERP for Education: How OpenEduCat Empowered Our Multi-Campus Operations"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

Because OpenEduCat is open-source and built on Odoo/Flectra frameworks, our internal IT team had access to configuration/customization versus being locked into a black box vendor. This gave us more ownership and ability to align workflows with our institutional processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

While the modular and open nature is a strength, it also means initial setup and configuration required a fair amount of technical time. For institutions without dedicated IT/staff familiar with Odoo/Flectra, the learning curve can be steeper. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

Hello Akos M.,

Thank you for sharing your detailed and insightful review. We are delighted to hear that OpenEduCat has empowered your multi-campus operations by providing the flexibility and transparency your institution needs.

Our goal has always been to offer an open, configurable ERP platform that enables educational institutions to align workflows with their unique operational models, without the constraints of vendor lock-in. It’s wonderful to know that this approach has helped your internal IT team achieve greater control and adaptability.

"An Affordable ERP That Brings Structure to Academic Operations"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

One of the biggest advantages of OpenEduCat is that it centralizes key academic and administrative functions such as admissions, student records, attendance, grading, and finance into one system. This eliminates the need for schools and colleges to rely on multiple disconnected tools. The modular design is another strong point because it allows institutions to start with the features they need most and add more modules as they grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

The main challenge with OpenEduCat is that the initial configuration often requires technical expertise or outside support, which can be a hurdle for institutions without in-house IT staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

"Streamlined Academic Management with Transparent Pricing"

What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

What I appreciate most about OpenEduCat is how it centralizes multiple processes into a single platform. From admissions and student data tracking to attendance and examinations, the system eliminates the need for juggling separate tools. As someone used to handling large engineering teams, I value structured workflows and OpenEduCat delivers that by creating a smooth pipeline for academic management Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

The platform can feel overwhelming at first because of its wide range of modules. It takes a bit of training to get the most out of it, especially for institutions that are transitioning from traditional or scattered systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

Hello Efsthathios D.,

We are pleased to learn that OpenEduCat’s centralized platform has facilitated streamlined academic management, providing structured workflows across admissions, student data tracking, attendance, and examinations. Your recognition of the system’s ability to consolidate multiple processes into a single, efficient platform underscores the value we strive to deliver.

"OpenEduCat Simplifies Academic Operations and Brings Real Value for Schools"
5/5
What do you like best about OpenEduCat?

As a Vice President of Educator Support, I value tools that reduce the administrative burden on teachers and academic staff. OpenEduCat does exactly that by centralizing student enrollment, course scheduling, fee collection, and performance evaluation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenEduCat?

The platform is robust, but the pricing could be more flexible, especially for smaller institutions or nonprofits with limited budgets. While the value is clear for larger universities or school networks, smaller schools may find the investment challenging without tiered or modular pricing options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kaushal Soni of OpenEduCat

Hello Emily D.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful feedback and for recognizing the value OpenEduCat brings to simplifying academic operations. We are pleased to hear that the platform has helped reduce administrative workloads and improve efficiency for educators and staff alike.

Your observation regarding pricing flexibility is greatly appreciated. We continuously explore ways to make OpenEduCat more accessible for institutions of all sizes, including smaller schools and nonprofits, without compromising on quality or functionality.

It is rewarding to know that OpenEduCat contributes to enhancing operational transparency and supporting better learning experiences. We remain committed to evolving our platform to meet the diverse needs of the global education community.
