There are plenty of open source codes available for e-commerce website and I have used few of those also but I find OpenCart the best one and very easy to use anyone with big knowledge of coding can also edit the code according to their needs. It also offers plenty of payment methods already integrated into it you have to enable them which ever you want to use. Apart from that there are plenty of themes and plugins available at OpenCart Marketplace where you can download free themes as well professional paid themes which are very easy to implement. What started just like a tryout, ended being my first option when a client ask for a tool in the online business. Simply it have control over every aspect that care about in any business. The fact that's free and open source it's a BIG pro. It's highly customizable and it has a lot of addons to make it perfect for any kind of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about OpenCart? Using the software i haven't found a turndown reason, everything works flawless to me and no client have reach me to say that something went wrong with it. But there's a few things i think should improve in OpenCart, at moment of an upgrade, it's not that easy as was the first install, sometimes take too much time setup the upgrades. When we're starting a business we try to spend the less that we can to maximize the profits, and this it's a free and open source software that not sacrifice any funcionality compared the paid options.
