What do you like best about OpenBOM?

What do you dislike about OpenBOM?

I could't create templates when exporting to excel. However I did not check that with support so there might b a solution on that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenBOM?

Open BOM helps to improve the Inventory management and BOM process.

The best part is that it syncs the data in real time and update the BOMs as changes are made. Which helps everyone to get hold of the latest information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenBOM?

The only drawback is that it requires reliable internet connection as there are not much options availabe while working offline as it is cloud based.

For small companies the cost of OpenBOM adds up as there is a minimum number of licenses each company has to buy to start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about OpenBOM?

I migrated all of our BoM documentation which was previously on disparate spreadsheets into openBoM. We now have a single source of truth for our fabrication documents. Importing our exisiting BoMs was straight foward, as openBoM allows for freedom in how you structure the properties for each part. It is useful to be able to easily apply version control to parts and assemblies as well as being able to do "where used" queries on parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenBOM?

What problems is OpenBOM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Easily link parts and subassemblies together without having to manually edit multiple spreadsheets. Is a single source of truth for 3D CAD drawings, electronic BoMs, and firmware for our product. What do you like best about OpenBOM?

What do you like best about OpenBOM?

It is a fast and responsive product. It is also easy to use once you understand all of the different procedures. The more you know about it the easier it is to solve some problems others may have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The impossible problem to deal with of having only one person being able to checkout a part and wanting to upload something. Possibly implementing a quene for parts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is solving our problem of sharing CAD files. Normally when wanting to change something on a CAD file you would have to delete what you already have but the ittertativeness of OpenBOM allows for the ability to easily share the files without a headache of opening the file and seeing if it is the correct one.
