(62)4.1/5

Sora is OpenAI’s new creative video app that lets you turn a simple text prompt or an uploaded image into vivid realistic videos with sound, spanning styles from cinematic and photorealistic to the animated and surreal. It’s designed for fast, playful creation and iteration: you can generate scenes from scratch, remix existing creations, and even “cast” yourself and friends as characters while keeping control over how and when your likeness is used. The overall pitch is a lightweight, creator-first workflow: type an idea, watch it become a moving scene with audio, and keep refining until it matches the story in your head.
