Open Satchel is a free, offline desktop document editor with Acrobat-level PDF editing capabilities. Built with Rust and Tauri 2, it performs true content stream editing — not text-box overlays — enabling real body-text reflow, digital signatures (X.509, PKCS#11, HSM), OCR, form filling, merge/split, redaction, and PDF/A and PDF/UA compliance. Fully offline with zero telemetry. Licensed under AGPL-3.0 with commercial dual-licensing for organizations. Priced at 40-60% below Adobe Acrobat Pro per-seat licensing with unlimited seats per license.
