The historical lookback functionality, or lack thereof, has made retrieving old briefs to use as building blocks for new ones, or just being able to find final assets of a long-ago brief is tough. The search bar yields myriad items attached to the keyword punched in, but it feels more sprawling than direct/helpful. **What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?** Everything being in one place really helps, as my team was multiple plates spinning across multiple workstreams, so it's good to know that Opal can be that one space where the briefs, work, and final products can live. **Official Response from Katie Pocklington:** > Great to hear that Opal managed to improve your content intake process. It is incredibly easy for me to gain a holistic view of all my campaigns, which is invaluable for managing display advertisements for my client. This feature allows me to effortlessly visualize and track which ads are live and the duration they will run, streamlining my workflow and enhancing overall efficiency. **What do you dislike about Opal?** I dislike the searching capability within the calendar, as it never works which makes it difficult to find specific items or moments quickly. Additionally, I am frustrated that sometimes changes I make to moments do not save, leading to repeated efforts and inefficiencies. **What problems is Opal solving and how is that benefiting you?** Opal allows me to easily manage display advertisements by showing what ads are live, provides a holistic view of campaigns, though its calendar search and save functions need improvement. **Official Response from Lee Dussinger:** > Thanks for sharing your experience. Great collaborative planning tool **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025 **What do you like best about Opal?** I find Opal to be a great collaborative planning tool for the different communications teams across our enterprise. There are a lot of options for making entries, filtering and searching, which I appreciate. It gives us the opportunity to see not just what's being published internally and externally across the company, but also among our teams and leaders, which helps us align our efforts. There are some features we're not using at this time, but the ability to implement those when the time is right seems easy enough, and overall it's a great tool. **What do you dislike about Opal?** I don't know that the system is super intuitive. We've had to onboard our team several times and it required some effort to put our regular comms plans into the architecture of the site (themes vs. stories vs. moments vs. content). But we did get there and now it works great for us. I think the feature I'd most love to see is the ability to export boards or stories.
