Oomnitza's functionality and extensibility are the best on the market for an ITAM, and it's also not just an ITAM. Their ability to bring in SaaS software data, workflows function, and dozens of integrations make for more orchestration than simple asset management. Most asset management tools are glorified spreadsheets that need to be manually manipulated/updated. But automation is where Oomnitza shines.

Oomnitza's probably has more integrations out of the box than any other ITAM. Their integrations with modern MDM, CDW integration, and workflows help reduce manual tasks and tasks not typically captured during an asset's lifecycle. Their workflow functions operate similarly to tools like Bettercloud and Okta Workflows, though in a less elegant way compared to Bettercloud. But it can save time with common on and offboarding tasks.

Oomnitza's price is one of the highest in the market, they may not even work with you based on how large your company is.

The UI needs a lot of work. It looks like a spreadsheet/database and does not look like a modern SaaS tool. There is a steep learning curve as a result of the unintuitive UI.

The configuration and maintenance take a good amount of time and is likely better suited for larger IT orgs. Oomnitza is the premiere inventory management system that is robust and helpful in keeping track of all your devices (desktop, laptops, and mobile) It integrates with many systems like Active Directory, Zendesk, Jamf and Kandji. We like the ease of use and the search capability when integrated with Zendesk. The support team is great and they always communicate about updates and new features. I like how resourceful Oomnitza can be. I can find internal documentation on how to use the product, and if we have any questions, concerns, or requests, we have an account manager who is more than willing to help us figure it out. It is a little tricky to use at first, especially when setting up workflows needed for automation, as there are lots of details/specifics needed. I would like to see more integration between the different modules. If the access module and the stock room modules were more intertwined, you could store your access in the stockroom for organizational reasons and still have the units keep the characteristics of an asset. Oomnitza has been a great product. Where it excels is with its workflows, which make updating and controlling assets a breeze. And with the drag and drop nature of creating workflows, there are super simple to set up, no complex coding required! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
