Each pay period, I simply enter the employee hours and that's it! It's really that easy. In the background, Onpay pays my employees via direct deposit, debits my bank account for the amount of the paychecks plus taxes and then automatically files and pays my federal and state taxes for me. Being a small business owner, I already take on too many roles. The fact that Onpay basically eliminates one for me is great. The Quickbooks integration is another huge time saver. The few times I have had to get in contact with support, I talked with someone in the USA that was competent and it feels as if I am working with a small family, rather than a company. They follow through and make sure any issue you have gets resolved. You are definitely not just a number when dealing with Onpay. **What do you dislike about OnPay?** The only thing I can think of for improvement is having longer support hours. I understand why they have the current hours, though. It is so you do not end up talking to someone overseas during non-peak times. It is not easy to find support staff in the USA that wants to work overnight hours. I do not mind having the support hours limited if it means I will always get a support agent that is compentent and not just reading from a script in broken English. They could possibly be extended an hour or two, though. **What problems is OnPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** It pays my employees with direct deposit and files my taxes for me. I cannot even remember the last time I thought about payroll taxes. I just consider it done. ### 9. The support staff is smart and helpful, but I could only access to her for 30 min blocks every few days when her calendar permitted. I found basic written instructions or videos hard to come by. Most of their videos on YouTube seem to target channel aggregators like accountants rather than individual business owners like myself. Lastly, it would be great if their features included digitally signing W4s and I9's that are fully completed online. For example, the OnPay will take employee information and fill in Personal Information but Onpay doesn't fill in Witholding fields. So when you digitally sign the W4 with OnPay its incomplete, and thus not useful as a document of record to an employer. **What problems is OnPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great and putting payroll in the cloud and making payroll information available to employees. ### 30. Quickbooks payroll cost more and was less user friendly and the support left you with more questions than answers. The ability to integrate with Quickbooks is really nice. The people at OnPay were able to take all the information from Quickbooks and copy it over. That saved me a ton of time. Plus when I needed more pay items the people at OnPay gave me what I needed and then some. Once again, great customer service. Onpay itself is super easy to use and really intuitive. The layout and colors are just right. As the bookkeeper, I will be using Onpay all the time for payroll. I love the way everyone can add photos to their profile. I work mostly from home so I don't know everyone. OnPay gives me a way to make a name with a face. For the staff, OnPay has a great setup. They are able to see all their information in one spot. **What do you dislike about OnPay?** I wish there was a way to get back to home or to the dashboard once I click on My Roles. I end up using the back bottom on the web browser. I wish that banking information could have been transferred. It has been difficult to get the staff to enter in their information. I wish there was a direct way to send out another invitation with a link for an employee to get into their account. It seems like everyone misses the first email and the second email doesn't contain a link. **What problems is OnPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Quickbooks payroll was too expensive. We are a non-profit and money is tight. We were struggling with employees only working a couple of hours during a pay period and having to pay $10 to Quickbooks for each of them. OnPay is cheaper and so much more user friendly with people ready to answer any question I may have. ### 31. The customer service is always timely and works diligently to resolve any issue we've encountered. We handle payroll for numerous clients but no longer have the staff to prepare them all in house. The first company we tried was MyPay and they are awful: terrible customer service, very pricey, no follow-through, they've messed up payments, drafts, forms and then wanted us to pay them to correct their mistake, the list goes on and on. So when we found OnPay, we were extremely sceptical but OnPay has delivered on every single promise. Nealy one year into our relationship with OnPay, they still are exceptional. It is very user friendly. Allowing us to easily train our clients to enter their own time. OnPay handled all prior data transfer allowing for easy implementation and no lag time in payroll. Our clients have been very happy that OnPay integrates seemlessly into QBO and QB Desktop keeping their books up-to-date effortlessly. We also no longer have to worry about the frequency of running payrolls as OnPay only charges a monthly fee, meaning our clients are fee to pay bonuses or multiple pay options as they see fit without breaking the bank. Overall, OnPay is by far the best software for payroll we've encountered. **What do you dislike about OnPay?** The reports could use some improvements as they don't mimic the reports we're used to seeing; they do have the option of creating custom reports but we haven't taken the time to investigate this option fully. The W-2s were not 4-top standard issue for what we were expecting so we had to really get creative to fit into our current envelopes for mailing and the correct envelopes are only offered from one source at a high price. **What problems is OnPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** We currently don't have the staff to process all payroll and quarterly filings in-house; OnPay has eased the burden with our staff and given us some much needed breathing room to focus on other issues within our business. ### 44. It is NOT actually included in gross pay. It is taxed correctly (meaning it is not taxed at all) and shows up accurately on the payroll reports, just not on the quick totals after I run payroll. **What problems is OnPay solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have six employees and two contractors. The difficulty is that I have employees in multiple states.
