The biggest upside is hitting certain targets will cause trees to be planted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the pledges feel tangable and meaningful. E.g. talking to a lonely person. Donating food, blood, time etc. Others are easy to achieve ECO tasks like half-filling the kettle or running the dishwasher on ECO. While important, they don't compare to the personal impacts of the OnHand app I was expecting. It feels bad when donating food to a charity awards the same number of points as not filling the kettle.
