OneTrust is a young company with brings them speed and agility to move fast. This can sometimes cause some bugs that are resolved but can cause problems for a short period. This tends to be seen more in the new tools that are experiencing rapid growth and change. I recommend requesting a hands-on demo to understand the tool. The platform is great out of the box and the modules we use are flexible enough to tailor to our needs. The fact that we do not have to provide access accounts to everyone (potentially many thousands) who has to contribute is an enormous plus, it brings down the admin costs considerably. The user interface style is the most pleasing part of using the tool. Overall, the tools have a large amount of options and enough tool tips to ensure that the user is aware of what he's doing and how it may affect other portions of the program. The certification trainings also did a great job of ensuring class participation by periodically having moments where we could all answer class questions together, and then review the answers to determine why answers may be right/wrong. With the sheer amount of material to be absorbed however, I found the handbook to the training to not be quite so helpful for the exams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can be a bit overwhelming to understand where all the tools are located, and which pages are relevant to certain tasks. Having used the program as part of my Professional Management training, I found that the program in of itself was incredibly well made, and provides a massive amount of opportunities to the user. However, it would definitely help to have "first time tutorial" pop-ups with certain pages/tools which would help alleviate some confusion from those using the program the first few times. The amount of information available with the platform is amazing, since the field of their expertise, which is Privacy Regulations to IT Security and Controls frameworks. The reporting option is very poor. It's possible to generate a pdf report according to some fields added as needed, or export a excel file (list of risks for instance). The layout of the pdf report is limited and not well presented.

OneTrust as an organization has a poor implementation team. They do not have project plans & often rely on the customer to indicate what needs to be completed next.
