It got solved, but initially, during our first implementation, we would have appreciated more proactive guidance from them. After the facts, we realized that we lacked 360 knowledge to fully understand how it should be implemented in our systems, more precisely what to be aware of, and validate at each step to avoid data issues after deployment. Everything about this software, its design, and the approach the company uses towards development showcases it has little to no experience with professional software development, IT approaches, customer support, or user interfaces. We would experience regular outages across our 50K person company only to be told time and again it was our issue, not OneTrust's. Basic functionality in managing users, modifying questions, and publishing new versions failed to meet expectations. The best aspect of OneTrust, a very layered aspect in itself, is its versatility. So many ways to apply the software solution in everyday activities, and to create a complex, yet coherent and intuitive system for security and privacy governance, risk management, assessments, everything a security professional would require. It's a wholesome solution, encompassing relevant international standards, security and privacy by design, individual needs, adaptable environment. Complexity and comprehending the software can be challenging for more casual users and people relatively new in the governance and privacy fields. However, a bit of examining and tinkering help to alleviate any initial confusion, and it should be noted that OneTrust provides a plethora of courses, guides, hints and tips that make the software more approachable. OneTrust stays on top of the changing legal landscape for privacy and updates its products quickly. The personnel have been very helpful in getting the cookie compliance and DSAR set up with deep knowledge and important tips they've gathered from other implementations. The online knowledge base is extensive and there are on-going webinars to answer many of my questions. When first getting oriented to OneTrust, I wish I had a super basic explanation of where to go to login, what the on-boarding steps would be, how to access the knowledge base and support, and specifically what to expect from the implementation personnel assigned to my account.
