Having such a great company to provide guidance and support is extremely important. One Six is a wonderful partner in the data analytics space. **What problems is OneSix solving and how is that benefiting you?** One Six came in and performed an assessment of our current data warehouse including: specifications, feeds both in and out, resources, logins, historical performance, and scripts. They were then able to stabilize and perform improvements that were nothing short of miraculous! Our data warehouse had been requiring over 120 hours of personnel per month of support and was still going down on a weekly basis. Today, it is stable and requires less than 5 hours a month to maintain. ### 2. Weekly gets to be time consuming from a process standpoint and monthly would be preferred. I do understand their reasoning, and it is much easier to keep tabs of project time compared to their proposed hours and such though. **Recommendations to others considering OneSix:** I have been working with One Six in some capacity for over 8 years. They are fantastic with customer service and getting the job done on time that they say they are going to do. **What problems is OneSix solving and how is that benefiting you?** One Six is helping us with a data analytics and data warehouse project. This is helping eliminate the risk of human error as well as hours of almost a full time person following tasks that are very time consuming that occur daily/weekly or monthly. ### 3. They were engaged to advise on architecture, build data models, assist with best practices and documentation, launch the product, and help us learn about the BI product we had chosen. They worked hand-in-hand with our development team through this process and stayed post-launch to help harden the system and stabilize our teams' engagement with internal stakeholders and clients alike. **What do you like best about OneSix?** One of my favourite things about One Six is their willingness to work with us on whatever we need. Early on in the project, we determined we needed an additional tactical resource instead of an advisory one, and One Six happily switched out resources for us, ensureing we had what we needed to complete the project. Another thing I liked about the resources we did engage with was how easily they fit in with our team. We have found them to be personable, accommodating, and highly skilled in their areas of expertise, and we couldn't have completed the project without them as we didn't have the experience on the team. The project's scope was a new endeavor for us, and the supplement of One Six resources was invaluable. **What do you dislike about OneSix?** I can't think of anything that I have been unhappy with, it's unfortunate we couldn't give them more access to our LMS code, but then they didn't have the training in the languages we use, and our company is quite protective with access to this code. Having said that, One Six did say they were willing to learn to help us out there; and didn't think it would be too hard for them to get up to speed, we just chose not to take them up on it because it was a fast-moving project, and there was enough work elsewhere where we could use their skillsets. **Recommendations to others considering OneSix:** Mike Galvin is an excellent resource to use when scoping your project and scoping your project's needs. I would highly recommend engaging with him when looking at using One Six Consulting. **What problems is OneSix solving and how is that benefiting you?** We implemented an embedded BI product in the LMS software we sell to clients, enabling them to meet their self-serve Business Intelligence needs closing a product gap we previously had which is of benefit to Absorb and our clients. ### 8. They dig in and help understand the problem, how to think about it, provide the best technical options of how to solve it, then execute as quickly as possible with me included along the way. They remained in very good communication and were very flexible in providing what we wanted. Things changed throughout the course of development and they were able to adapt and provide exactly what we wanted by the time we were done. He had the expertise to figure out the "how", but took it a step further to understand the business decision I needed to make after seeing the data. Additionally, he took the initiative to make things look good. **What do you dislike about OneSix?** No downside to One Six Solutions, just the standard downside of using contractors. They helped us find the right data reporting solution in QlikSense to meet our needs. Mike and the team at One Six is very responsive and supportive to our needs. **What do you dislike about OneSix?** The integration structure is very complex and requires One Six support to maintain, primarily because we were selective in the data fields we originally identified to pull into the data warehouse. Overtime, we have needed to add more data fields and this can create problems with existing QlikSense reports. ### 18. There's no disconnect from the sales process to solution delivery. They are honest and focus the solution truly driving business values. Working with them is a breath of fresh air from dealing with the big consulting firms. It's a travel booking platform (BAMM!) that has advanced scheduling, multiple API's, audioconferencing, integrations with Uber, and custom graphics. Very complex. **What do you like best about OneSix?** They provided access and world class resources. They delivered the project with a level of quality in excess of what we'd scoped out- simply because their expertise provides an insight into problems or opportunities at a point in time where we were able to mitigate them, or take advantage of them (the opportunities). Their rates were very reasonable as well, which, was good, but when considered in the context of problem avoidance, was terrific for the over all relationship. **What do you dislike about OneSix?** Nothing. A small issue with the data integrity makes the entire process to collapse and system being down. Little thought was given to build this platform more robustly and proof it so things like that happen only when a major system issues a present. **Recommendations to others considering OneSix:** Please make sure to provide very detailed requirements. Please also include the technical requirements for data integrity checks and then error logging and troubleshooting. ### 21. The challenge was finding a consultant knowledgeable about the older database, which was difficult to find. OneSix was able to find the appropriate skillset and the solution was upgraded with no data loss or business impact. They are one of the most customer-focused firms I worked with and were not happy until I was 100% happy.
