Upload now is a simple drag and drop without losing the structure of the papers uploaded, as was previously experienced with other board management software utilized. With OnBoard, you have the choice of configuring your package the way you want to, only paying for what you need and not being bloated and paying for software aspects that you never use. The remote wipe facility for mobile devices and security controls over what can be downloaded from the portal or even printed also provided a greater sense of security, especially when dealing with the various privacy laws in effect. For Directors, the ability to markup documents for discussion and share these markups with the other Board members is also a stellar feature allowing more significant interaction during remote sessions facilitated by the embedded Zoom feature. ### 14. My favorite part of OnBoard is that it is easy to use for all levels of technical ability. It's easy to create meetings, agendas, minutes, and all documents. Further, I can add minutes and annotated documents directly to the resources files for Board Members to review and/or come back to at a later date, as necessary, or for subsequent meetings. **What do you dislike about OnBoard Board Management Software?** The onboarding process for the Board. There was a lot of training for me, but no plan for training in our Board. I have a full board with three standing committees and ad hoc committees that require scheduling. Some documents cross over between committees. The platform has added a single spot to manage the Board and for the Board to have a one-stop shop. Gone are the days of sending documents over email. We looked at several Board management Platforms, but the value and features of OnBoard, coupled with the customer service, made the decision easy. What we love about working with them is the feedback you provide is actually implemented. They listen to what people want and do it. **What do you dislike about OnBoard Board Management Software?** If you asked me 1 year ago, I would have a couple of things to say, but since then, the features I felt were lacking are now implemented! For example, the agenda was clunky. If a section of the meeting changed or the time changed, you would have to adjust all the times. Customer care is extremely responsive if you do run into any issues or questions. The final package presentation is clean and easy to follow. Individual control over users makes it easy to assign different levels of management within your meetings or over your organization. **What do you dislike about OnBoard Board Management Software?** The only thing I dislike is that when you are creating a meeting and add another admin from your organization, they come in as a user. You must remember to change their permission set within the meeting back to an admin manually. Originally this was not the case, if the admin was being added to a meeting by another admin, they were automatically added as an admin. **Recommendations to others considering OnBoard Board Management Software:** The only recommendation I can think of it would be nice if there was a way to customize the "share meeting link." It's a waste of my time and OnBoard's time if it's not going to meet a certain cost-benefit ratio. The minutes builder actually added time to our meetings, and we skipped it. It was easier to download the agenda as a word document and use it as a launch for our minutes. Those features have shortened my time in building both, dramatically. I like being able to drag and drop anything but Powerpoint (Onboard won't allow that) into meetings, resources, etc. **What do you dislike about OnBoard Board Management Software?** The biggest complaints we have are these: You can not attach documents to the chat function. You must say; see this document located in the Resources File, under, subfolder xyz. You may also cut and paste a link but this feature falls short of the functionality of Outlook. Also, whenever you send a message to a group, you get a notification that you have a message on Onboard. It doesn't specify who sent it or what group (Finanance, Development, Nominating and Governance, a single member). Therefore we spend a lot of time logging in to read messages that say "thanks' to the previous message or "I found it". etc. That's really annoying. It'd be nice if the message at least advised who sent it. The meeting book makes it simple to follow along with the appropriate materials. The search function allows us to store a wide variety of policies, procedures, past meeting information, and general information that every Trustee needs to have at their fingertips. Everything they could ever want is right there. As an administrator on the product, I appreciate how simple it is to create an agenda, add materials to the site, and invite people to join. OnBoard automatically sends upcoming meeting reminders for me and reminds me when it's time to get ready for a meeting. The support team is very responsive, and the help menu has a lot of helpful resources. **What do you dislike about OnBoard Board Management Software?** One of my only complaints is that you cannot create recurring meetings in OnBoard. All of our Board and Committee meetings recur monthly, and it is tedious to enter each meeting individually. I have been told that they are aware of this and are working on an update. **What problems is OnBoard Board Management Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously, all our Board materials, including historical meeting materials and upcoming materials, were in a folder on our school website. This method worked in that everything was there and available for our Trustees. The problem was that there wasn't an easy way to search for the files that our Trustees needed in the moment. OnBoard has an incredible search function so that Trustees have everything they need when they need it. Additionally, previously many Trustees would print out the materials and shuffle through paperwork throughout the meeting to find the document that was being discussed at the time. The meeting book has helped alleviate this issue as all the relevant materials are available through an interactive agenda. Trustees only need to click on the relevant section of the agenda, and the materials are there. ### 45.
