Excellent but Expensive Support. Support techs have always gone above and beyond, their support department is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- No Training or Product Onboarding is provided with the $13K License for the suite.
- It's very expensive.
- Training as well as Support and Maintenance are additional costs and are very expensive.
- Using the Free Online Training leaves you with a very minimal understanding of the product suite and usually with more questions about the product than answers.
- The Progam has a long delay before outputting a document. Not great for On-Demand Printing. (something we specifically told the sales rep we would be using the software for, Apparently they have another solution called Pres Connect that is cheaper and much better at this, we were never given an option to evaluate that solution.)
- After Numerous Attempts to fix an issue with the software, Support was unable to provide a solution (after two years), so we had to reconfigure the entire process to avoid the issue, making it more cumbersome but at least reliable. After doing this work and asking support for assistance with a minor page order issue, they declined, saying that we had to purchase OL Care as the previous issue had now been resolved (resolved because I implemented an entirely new process that avoided the issue. Something that if it had been suggested to me, would have been implemented over a year ago when our OL Care was still valid.)
- The solution Costs a lot for what you get.
- After your "OLCare" expires, as one would naturally assume, you are no longer eligible for updates. Essentially similar to Maintenance Fees from companies like IBM or Adobe. But unlike those companies, OL Provides no Support for their product after OLCare is expired, you must pay for the absurdly priced OL Care or solve your own issues, even basic troubleshooting.
- When you do have OL Care, To initiate a support ticket you must first jump through a pile of hoops, provide several identifiers and retrieve serials and license numbers from your software. It's a very cumbersome process that I believe is created to discourage you from even creating a support ticket in the first place.
- While support is Fantastic they can spend TOO LONG on an issue. It would be suggested that if they are unable to resolve an issue after a month or two that they have you explore alternative options instead of beating a dead horse. They fail to acknowledge the shortcomings of their solution and promise they can resolve the issue even after it has been plaguing your install for the better part of two years with no signs of a real resolution.
- Did I mention: It's Incredibly Expensive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
