## Okta Reviews
  ### 1. Okta Streamlines SSO and Provisioning, but Pricing and Support Can Be Tough

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** juliana q. | Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Here's a more natural, flowing version:

After using Okta for a while, the thing that genuinely surprised me is how much friction it removes from daily work without you really noticing. Before, getting access to a new tool meant tickets, waiting, follow-ups. Now it just happens. SSO through the dashboard means employees land in Slack, Salesforce, GitHub, or whatever else they need in one click, and the "I can't log in" requests to IT basically dried up on their own.
The app catalog is enormous over 7,000 integrations and most of them connect in minutes, not days. That breadth is hard to overstate when you're onboarding fast or adopting new tools constantly. What really stuck with me though was the Workflows automation. Setting up automatic provisioning and deprovisioning tied to HR events felt like reclaiming hours I didn't know I was losing every week. Someone joins the company, they have access to everything they need by the time they open their laptop. Someone leaves, access is cut across every connected app immediately. That peace of mind around offboarding alone is worth a lot.
The admin interface is clean enough that you don't need to be deeply technical to manage it day-to-day, and end users rarely need any handholding because the dashboard is so straightforward. Performance has been rock solid authentication is fast and downtime is genuinely rare. When something does come up, they communicate it well in advance.
On the security side, the threat protection runs quietly in the background blocking suspicious IPs, flagging unusual login behavior, adjusting access based on device and location without needing constant tuning. It's the kind of feature you don't notice until you realize you haven't had an incident.
Pricing is the honest sticking point. It's not cheap, and costs grow quickly as you add products or scale users. Smaller teams will feel it more. Support can also be hit or miss depending on the complexity of your issue straightforward problems get resolved fast, but edge cases sometimes take more back-and-forth than you'd like.
Still, for any organization that's serious about security and tired of identity being a source of friction rather than a solved problem, Okta delivers. It's one of those tools that becomes quietly essential.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

The pricing is where the relationship gets complicated. What starts as a reasonable per-user cost has a way of creeping up as soon as you need features that feel like they should be included Lifecycle Management, Privileged Access, Advanced Server Access each one is a separate add-on, and by the time you've built out a complete identity stack, the bill looks very different from the initial quote. For growing companies, that scaling cost can become a real conversation at budget time.
Support is the other area that occasionally lets the product down. When the issue is straightforward, things move quickly. But when you hit something complex a tricky AD sync behavior, an edge case in a Workflow, a SCIM provisioning quirk you can find yourself bouncing between documentation that's slightly outdated and support agents who need multiple escalations to get to someone with the right context. For a tool this central to your infrastructure, that lag is frustrating.
The Workflows builder is powerful, but it has a steeper learning curve than the rest of the product. The visual interface looks approachable until you get into conditional logic and error handling, where it starts to feel more like debugging than configuring. Better native templates and more practical documentation would go a long way there.
And while the admin console is generally clean, some of the deeper configuration areas particularly around policies and group rules can feel inconsistent, like different parts of the product were built at different times without a unified design pass. Nothing that stops you from getting the job done, but occasionally you're clicking around longer than you should be.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At its core, Okta is solving the chaos that comes with identity at scale. When you have dozens of SaaS tools, a mix of remote and in-office employees, and people constantly joining or leaving the company, managing who has access to what becomes a full-time problem if you let it. Okta takes that problem off the table. Access is tied to identity, identity is tied to your HR system, and the whole thing moves automatically. You stop thinking about it, which is the point.
The security benefit is probably the most significant in practice. Before having a centralized identity layer, offboarding someone meant manually revoking access across every tool and inevitably something got missed. A forgotten account sitting open in a system is exactly the kind of exposure that keeps security teams up at night. With Okta, that risk disappears. The moment someone is offboarded, access is gone everywhere, simultaneously, without anyone having to run a checklist.
For end users, the benefit is simpler but just as real they spend less time on login friction and more time on actual work. No more password resets, no more "I don't have access to that yet" delays when starting a new project. For IT and security teams, the dashboard gives clear visibility into who has access to what, where people are logging in from, and whether anything looks off. That kind of visibility used to require stitching together logs from a dozen different places.
The cumulative effect is that identity stops being a source of risk and becomes infrastructure you can trust something running in the background that just works, so the rest of the organization can move faster without cutting corners on security.

  ### 2. Secure Authentication but with Frustrating Re-Authentication

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like using Okta mostly for its speed when it's sending information to my devices. It really enhances my ability to access websites that I need to use, particularly with two-factor authentication making it more secure. Also, the initial setup was very easy, even though it was handled mostly on my behalf.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Honestly, sometimes it just requires it over and over again when you wanna say, hey. Remember my computer? Remember my device? It does that. I'll get kicked out from time to time. I don't know if that's Okta or if that's the actual carrier's system.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Okta for two-factor authentication, which enhances security. It secures access to websites I need, beyond relying on just strong passwords.

  ### 3. Simple, Secure SSO—But Phone Code Verification Can Block Access

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole A. | Sr. Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

What I like best about Okta is that it makes logging into work apps simple and secure. You can sign in once and access everything you need without remembering a bunch of passwords. It keeps accounts safe by adding extra security checks only when they’re needed. It also works smoothly with most tools companies already use. Overall, it just works in the background and makes everyone’s day easier.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I dislike that our Okta setup requires me to verify a code on my phone every time. If my phone is dead or I forget it, I’m completely locked out and can’t log in at all. It makes access too dependent on having my phone available.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Okta solves the problem of having too many usernames and passwords by letting me log in once and access all my work apps. It keeps my accounts secure by adding extra protection, like verification steps, to prevent unauthorized access. This helps protect company data without me having to manage security myself. It also saves time because I don’t have to reset passwords or log into each app separately. Overall, it makes accessing work tools simpler and safer.

  ### 4. Flexible Dual Factor Authentication, Minor Setup Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cole K. | intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like the flexibility for dual factor with Okta. It doesn't require me to choose one specific dual factor method, which is great because I can decide based on my flexibility or where I am. This flexibility makes using two-factor authentication less of an inconvenience, as dual factor can sometimes be hard to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Sometimes the dual factor can be really hard to navigate. Also, the frequency with which I have to use dual factor might be too much, though I don't think that's Okta's fault; I think that's set by my school. The setup wasn't too bad, but it took a little while, and I didn't really know there were multiple ways to have dual factor initially. The complexity of the secondary questions and the information needed on my behalf were challenging.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Okta for dual verification sign-ins at school, providing flexibility in choosing dual factor options, making it less inconvenient.

  ### 5. Convenient Access and Security, But 2-Step Login Can Be Frustrating

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

What I like best about Okta is how easy it makes getting into everything I need. Having one secure login instead of multiple passwords saves time and frustration, and it’s reassuring to know there’s strong security in place without it feeling complicated. It really helps keep my day moving smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

One thing I dislike about Okta is that the extra security steps, like multi-factor authentication, can sometimes feel repetitive or slow things down—especially when logging in multiple times a day. While I understand the importance of security, it can occasionally interrupt the workflow.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Okta solves the problem of managing multiple logins and passwords by giving one secure place to access all the tools I need. This benefits me by saving time, reducing login issues, and making it easier to move between systems without interruptions. It also adds an extra layer of security, which gives peace of mind while still keeping the experience simple and efficient.

  ### 6. Easy Account Access, But Frequent Logins When Switching Chrome Profiles

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I can access my accounts through Okta easily.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I have to log back in FREQUENTLY it feels like it logs me out everytime I switch chrome profiles. Because my company uses Okta for all accounts, I am frequently having to log in which takes a minute because we have autheticate on it too.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging in

  ### 7. Easy to Navigate, but Feedback on Task Completion Could Be Clearer

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

easy to navigate and works seamlessly with all other programs

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

It's fast and easy to use, it works well with completeing tasks

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps our clients sign into our platform from a secure place that ensures security

  ### 8. Basic Authenticator App.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Okta?**

It’s an authenticator app, and it doesn’t seem any better or worse than the others I’ve used.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I don’t like that it’s cloud-based, because it makes me more concerned about security.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s useful for 2FA, helping secure accounts and verify users.

  ### 9. Okta - Safe but Annoying

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sean B. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Okta feels like a very secure platform that I can use to quickly login to my applications.

In it's current setup, it is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

If Okta is just used as a tool to force you to verify your login with your phone every other day (previous organization), then it is more annoying than anything else.

You must utilize app tiles for one-click logins to different applications and disable double-verification with your cellphone to make it feel convenient to use.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do not have to remember a password and username for apps at work.

  ### 10. Okta Efficiency

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marjorie D. | Social Media Moderator, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2024

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Okta is helpful in terms of managing minimizing tabs as we no longer need to login multiple times for each tools and makes our workflow more organized. It increases productivity by lessening time in opening tools.

What I like best about Okta is that it's a one-step sign in for most of the tools that we use in work such as Kustomer, Ujet, Guru, Playvox, etc. Additionally, it is beneficial with our daily work as we don't have to input our credentials every single time when we need to use and log in to the apps integrated into it.

Haven't got the chance to contact support yet as I haven't encountered any issues for the past 9 mnths I've been using this tool in our company. Lastly, the user interface (UI) is intuitive / has user-friendly setup which makes the experience when utilizing it always smooth and seamless that basically makes it designed with usability in mind.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Nothing, I don't dislike anything about Okta.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 11. Its a log in automation app

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jainil P. | Business Development Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Can log in to multiple apps and has a tech stack built into it

Its the same as logging in and sometime feels longer as you have to sign in to the apps everytime

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Logging in everytime

  ### 12. From a user's POV, Okta does what it is supposed to do. Nothing spectacular.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trent S. | Product/UX Designer, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

Sometimes, using Okta feels like it is standing in the way of me getting right to doing what I need to do.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a user, Okta provides security and approved software tools in one convenient space.

  ### 13. One Click And In

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Okta?**

It's simple to log into any apps. Just one click.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Sometimes doesn't work, and is difficult to request new applications be put into the catalog.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to have one log in to every single app.

  ### 14. Useful to centralize identity and authentication management

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filippo S. | Multilingual Support Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Okta?**

All services are listed in one page, easy to access registered apps

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Apps dashboard can get cluttered, no categorization

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Single point of access to multiple services without constantly loggin in

  ### 15. OKTA is efficient for onboarding APPS for SSO and it's simple process.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2022

**What do you like best about Okta?**

It's a cloud solution. Automatic provisioning of users in to Application is automated via SCIM APIs.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

It's comparably high cost. And OkTa technical resource found on the market is less.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SSO, Access management and simple to understand.

  ### 16. Reliable 2-Step Authentification

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like that Okta is reliable. The app will notify you when an attempt has been made to login to your account. It is easy to verify that this is you -- it only takes 2 clicks (once to open the notification and then to click verify).

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I don't love 2-step authentication in general as it feels like a hassle, but of all the platforms available I don't have many complaints about Okta. It's easy to use and reliable.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Okta is useful in protecting the security of my Google account. We use it for its authentication purposes and it protects my email account from unauthorized attempts to sign in.

  ### 17. Okta Verify serves as a decent authenticator to get the job done

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Okta is pretty straightforward and easy to use for identity verification purposes. It is extremely easy to add new accounts, leveraging Apple ID and thumbprints to allow access into accounts.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Unlike other verification apps, Okta Verify leverages a loading bar to indicate when a new code would be generated. This can be confusing for users who are unfamiliar with the app, particularly given the slight lag after the bar indicates completion. I find that the design is not as intuitive as other verification apps but not a massive barrier to usage.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary use case is identity management for single-sign-on. This allows users around the company to access sensitive platforms and information, providing security and alleviating any privacy concerns for the company.

  ### 18. Still learning the system

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like it's idea and concept, could be useful when navigating several systems or programs.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Unsure if this system is clear in organizing systems. May need more time to understand its use.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

System organization

  ### 19. Doesn't always work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Enables single sign-on for each user and sometimes remembers the passwords.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

The app does not always autofill login and password information. It seems to be inconsistent when it does add credentials for logging in.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When it works, it allows for easy signing in without having to remember passwords.

  ### 20. Powerful but clunky

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lan L. | Senior Content Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like how easy it is to use Okta. There is a browser extension that helps you log into all your websites. The Okta apps page is nice because you have tabs that allow you to drag and drop all your different logins into different categories, such as Business vs. Personal. Logging in via Okta to my most-used apps is really easy. And Okta manages the addition of new logins pretty well too.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I have an Okta authenticator app on my phone that I need to use to log in to Okta every morning. It takes an extra few minutes that both I and my colleagues find irritating. Sometimes, when you save the login information for a website, it shows up without proper details in the Okta apps page. So you have go into each entry and rename it so you know where that login takes you.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Okta is a really helpful solution for my organization because it provides secure password management for our variety of applications and environments. We use a lot of these logins for testing and demonstration. Our leadership team adds new software services to our organization and once our manager implements the system, the login appears on our app screen, which is great. If there is a shared organization login, it's a great place to find it. It saves time when I need access to something new. Instead of running to QA for login information, I can check Okta first.

  ### 21. decent product but more cons than pro

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Okta?**

It does what it is supposed to but I am not fan of anything else. The dashboard function is helpful and clean

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I dislike the app format. I don't like having to download so many apps on my personal phone especially when I have an old phone and not enough memory. I rather use an old school remote token. Like what am I supposed to do if my phone breaks or gets stolen. It is a major inconvenience. Okta logs me out so frequently and I hate having to login 3x-5x a day.
the dashboard kind of breaks. Sometimes you have install every plugin.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Okta serves a 2 factor authentication problem. It isn't a problem for me but it solves a security problem for the company.

  ### 22. I get it's purpose for security for the user it's super inconvenient

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like that it keeps the company secure. It's also nice to have all of your applications that you use in one place where you can see them. I do also like that it will send the verification to my Apple Watch.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I dislike that for basically every platform you sign in to, okta recognizes as an application to add to your stuff. So anytime I do choose to sign into anything personal it tries to save it. I also don't understand the mobile function, like apparently you need a new key every time you get a new phone. From my experience, you can't even access the applications from your phone.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you're an enterprise company this is a great SSO option because it's widely adopted, but there will be growing pains as your employees get used to it. For example, when we migrated over our adobe suite I lost access as an owner to a library I created and couldn't figure out how to get it back because our IT team didn't give us a heads up.

  ### 23. Slightly annoying but understandably necessary security measure

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Okta utilizes both face/thumbprint recognition technology as well as offers methods of authentication that don't require users to use face or thumbprint recognition should they not want to open up their cameras.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I fully understand why my company turned to Okta to ensure security and encryption. The majority of our regularly used applications are on the Okta (except for our payroll solution, which is weird and odd and troubling), and that created a giant hiccup in app usability when moving over to the Okta system. Additionally, because I need to authenticate using the Okta app on my phone, if I am on a plane, for example, and I only buy Internet on my laptop and not on my phone, there's no way for me to authenticate. Which dampens my ability to work productively.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security, encryption, and unified birds eye over the kinds of applications that the company generally uses.

  ### 24. A secure way to sign in

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

It's nice feeling secure in all my apps and not having to remember individual passwords for each one.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

It's very frustrating to not have an email option to approve logging in. We are only able to verify signing in on our phones so it's annoying when I'm in a meeting and need to pull up something connected to Okta and I have to stop and go get my phone if I left it at my desk.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to remember a bunch of passwords but also not worrying about how secure my accounts are.

  ### 25. A great SSO agent

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

The simplicity of use is great, and the ease of building non out of the boxsolutions is perfect.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Can be glitchy at times, and when things go wrong the support team can be a little slow to respond.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplicity for our end users, have just the one password to rememeber then the SSO doing tis bit makes it super simple fo them.

  ### 26. Great for security purposes!

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Keeps all of my accounts accessed in one spot.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Honestly, it's a minor complaint but having to use your phone to verify is a bit annoying. If you are in a meeting and have to leave to go grab your phone for verification it can waste some time.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping all of my accounts secured in one spot.

  ### 27. Great tool for cross-platform logins

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Able to access all applications in one hub

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Not as intuitive to use on mobile vs desktop

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SSO

  ### 28. Okta Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like that it sometimes lets me sign in quicker across sites

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

That I can’t login if on a flight with only one internet source due to the two-factor verification

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to see all of my tools in one place

  ### 29. In theory it was great, hard to use properly.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha W. | Internet Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like that it allowed a single-sign on option for the myriad of applications we used at work.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

It crashed all the time, although that may have been my companies fault, not Okta's.

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

Seriously read the instructions and company guidelines.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Forgetting passwords was a problem, this helped tremendously.

  ### 30. It's a good jumping off point

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I like that it allows me to see all the apps for work in my org in one place

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

I don't like the interface very much, it doesn't rank the most frequently used first

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

It's a great jumping off point but it lacks basic UX functionality and organization that could make it a great resource.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows all members or the organization to see which apps are available to them

  ### 31. One step identity verification

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aishwarya T. | Salesforce Lead Business Systems Analyst (Experience Cloud), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Okta?**

With just one click, it helps to do the identity verification and enable access to the application.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Need alternative if we miss the authentication installed mobile

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

Good option to implement

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy login to the application from anywhere using the authentication device

  ### 32. Easy, Clean, Clear

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Clear formatting and organization. Mobile compatible. Management features. Navigation throughout Okta is easy and never confusing. Perfect for the tech savvy and tech illiterate. Both visuals and text available for navigation and clarity.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Repetative applications cant be removed by employees. Only admins can edit application options.

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

Okta is very user friendly and easy to navigate. If your company uses a lot of different applications, okta is a great tool to keep them all in one place for employee convenience.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Okta is solving employee benefits, resources, and timesheet tracking, access, and management. It is very easy for employees to keep their information orderly and track things suck as PTO, referals, guests, etc. while also submitting relavant information to necessary parties.

  ### 33. Convenient... But also useless.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel F. | Student Services Advisor/Career Accelerator Program Advisor, Higher Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Okta?**

One stop dashboard for several apps. The display is clean and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Little more than fancy "favorites" bar. In fact, I don't use Okta for that reason because I simply use my favorites bar in Chrome

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

I suppose it can help with password management, but few people use it and no one seems to notice or care.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to sign in once for multiple apps... At least in theory.

The problem, though, is that I don't need it or use it. I add the sites I need to my favorites bar and then save the login information in Google Chrome. None of my colleagues use it anymore either.

  ### 34. New User

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I use this software to log onto my work related applications. This includes many Microsoft applications as well as applications need to completed complete ongoing work related trainings.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

As great as the security of the software is it can be tedious having to get a new number every hour or so. I understand although I understand the need.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is how I sign in to view work related emails noticed and trainings

  ### 35. Not a bad experience, but hard to tell what Okta does

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared M. G. | Studio Manager, Entertainment, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2017

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Okta seems to be a platform housing many other apps used in business. Beyond that, it's sort of difficult to tell what aspects of these apps Okta controls vs. what they merely house. From what I can tell, it runs pretty smoothly and can manage many different apps without a problem.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

The main flaw with Okta comes with the logging in and out of the software. I am constantly being logged in and out with no rhyme or reason, and I'll often need to provide two-step security verification even when I've used the same computer in the same location for months straight. Sure, this is for security, but it can get annoying. Sometimes, if I choose to log out, I'll actually need to log myself in first for some reason.

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

It seems to be perfectly fine for what it offers. I am not too familiar with the competition or alternative services to tell if it is better or worse than those.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's much easier to access all kinds of software and apps when they are housed in Okta. Though I must admit, I am not sure what aspects of the experience are Okta's as opposed to the apps themselves'.

  ### 36. The best SSO

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Reasonably easy to set up. Relative to the other SSO providers I'd consider this the gold standard.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

A lot of reports that we want require custom requests, for a mature company I'd expect more.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized authentication

  ### 37. Okta

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Okta?**

One place that remembers passwords allows you to use much more complex passwords since you're aren't forced to remember them. Site is pretty clean and quick and automatically logs you in when you visit websites for which you have a login/password saved.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

The ordering of my apps is constantly rearranged when new ones are added or updated. There are some sites that require the plugin which means you can't access them through the browser on mobile.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strong passwords for internal-only items that need to be very secure.

  ### 38. Implemented Okta for mid-sized org

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff M. | SalesForce Administrator, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2014

**What do you like best about Okta?**

Very good end user experience. Users appreciated not needing to remember multiple business related passwords.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Not easy to add apps not already supported.

**Recommendations to others considering Okta:**

Are your apps common? If Okta has already developed an apps for your products, the primary difficulty will not be a problem. The admin user interface is not always intuitive, but not difficult once learned. Consider the number of users you are provisioning. There is good bulk import and provisioning if your users are Active Directory.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem- Managing multiple logins for 200+ users.
This product reduced volume of support requests for credential recovery.

  ### 39. Good Concept, Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2013

**What do you like best about Okta?**

It's a good way to communicate between offices in different states and companies. Screen-sharing features are helpful.

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

The setup and log-in processes are tedious and confusing. It usually takes my group 15 minutes to log in.

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have many sales offices across the country and in other countries, so we use it to conduct weekly meetings and exchange information and best practices.

  ### 40. Makes life easy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Seema J. | Lead Product Manager, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2013

**What do you like best about Okta?**

I don't have to remember password anymore!!!

**What do you dislike about Okta?**

Would be good to have better control over user preferences

**What problems is Okta solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User productivity, secure access
