It is nice to be able to text patient's and get a quick response. It is so much easier than having to wait for a call or leave a voicemail. The staff and patients love it! It's nice to text a patient, and while waiting for a response, we can move on to something else rather than sitting on the phone and playing phone tag. Patients have told us they really enjoy being able to text the office and love that they can get a quicker response than waiting for a return phone call. I would definitely recommend OhMD! I would have to say the best feature is reaching patients via text messaging and the percentage of patients that respond. Contacting even the hardest to reach patients has shown to be successful. In the technologically advancing world we live in, people seem to be more likely to respond via text than to answer a phone call. Chances are, even less; they will return your call. One feature that I have noticed to be an issue is when I am searching for a patient to reach them if someone else has contacted them and is waiting on a response from the patient. Again I love the texting feature, which allows us to contact patients, and they will respond. Texting has helped reach more patients and patients responding. It has improved communication with patients overall. Usually, you would call the patient, leave a message, wait for a callback. Sometimes it could take days, or no call from the patient returned, which leads to going back to step one and calling the patient again, leaving another message. The ability to communicate via text or video chat with patients at the moment. In 2021 this has taken the place of "snail mail" and has allowed for patient data to become relayed in a matter of moments discreetly. Now our patients can get any information we need to communicate to them instantsly and give instructions like directions, appointment times, doctors orders, etc. This service has also allowed us to flourish through a Pandemic, to use this method of communication has allowed us to embrace Telehealth appointments fully. What do you dislike about OhMD? One of the significant downsides to this service would be the interface, especially when you have to train staff, which are not technologically advanced, on how to use the website. There are many too many filters to choose from causing an abundance of screens. This can be very intimidating to anyone trying to grasp all of the advancements this product has to offer. Another issue I have noticed is the lack of Video Chats for anyone on a home PC or laptop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is OhMD solving and how is that benefiting you? It allowed us to embrace Telehealth appointments and simplify joining calls very quickly from their cellular device. Once we implemented this, our Telehealth process has been much more manageable. It allows us to do away with our phone tree and call patients over the regular lab and procedure reults. Now we can immediately send a message to a patient explaining the results. I work in a big office and have to get the other departments' notifications of responses along with my own. Being in the billing department, it is a challenge to collect money from the patients. OhMd has made it so much easier! We simply send a friendly text to remind the patient about their balance and give them a couple of options to pay or call the office to discuss patient arrangements. I find OhMD helpful for quick and effective communication! OhMD increases the number of patients we can contact daily basis with then increases our customer's satisfaction. The least helpful factor in OhMD for me would be when patients do not display under the correct spelling of the name if they were input in the system incorrectly, even after being corrected by the office staff.
