The set up of projects and billing is not as user friendly as it could be. Also, trying to reach out for support is frustrating. There are some shortfalls in the program, errors. There is no way to add a remittance address onto a Billing Statement. There is no way to configure portal notifications so that they ONLY go to the interested party. So one person has to forward all notifications, of which some are inevitably duplicates. The ability to track each step in a project. Knowing what status a project is in allows us to provide better customer service to our clients. I also like the way we can have many features such as billing, projects, and appointments all in one program. The program has weird glitches that cause it to freeze at random moments, or just close out completely. The limitations to the customization for the reports in Office Tools is also a little frustrating. Office Tools should not be able to add partners or officers to a business profile in Lacerte. There was a partner who had left a company but his profile did not get removed in Office Tools. When the company address was updated at a later date and those changes imported into Lacerte, it also imported him as a partner again.
