Their Managed Backup Services team sets up and monitors our backup plan for us so that our team is confident our Salesforce data is backed up, but without having to dedicate internal resources to it. We receive monthly reports on job completion which is very helpful. Overall we're satisfied with Odaseva and confident that if we ever needed to restore critical Salesforce data, we can achieve this quickly. As our org grew in size so did the complexity and number of group of Users within it. This forced us to review our current process and find an enterprise solution. Odaseva is a very powerful platform that was incredibly easy to setup and use, through the use of the audit reports we were able to identify what objects, app or fields were missing permission to capture that data as well as our metadata. The interface is packed with many features but in a straight forward layout that's easy to navigate and understand. The support from Odaseva in getting our Orgs connected and the hourly, nightly and weekly full backs was streamline and again, very simple. Their guides and documentation are loaded with a ton of great content making it easy to learn and use. I could not recommend a better system for back up and recovery. **What do you dislike about Odaseva?** I have no dislikes about the platform, it has provided us with every solution we required and there are still additional features and function that we have yet to utilize but will be able to do in the future. **What problems is Odaseva solving and how is that benefiting you?** Replacing the out-of-the-box weekly export functionality that Salesforce current offers for a backup, and a net new function of being able to restore data. ### 7. This is really helpful tool for us right now. From extracting data from backups to see how data has changed over time, to anonymising data in sandboxes (dataseeding). However, just because you have your data backed up with Odaseva (or any other backup software), doesn’t mean you can restore the data to Salesforce. You need to have a ByPass strategy to handle automations including triggers, workflow, process builders, flow, validation rules, assignment rules, auto-response rules, and escalation rules. Odaseva knowledge base is a little lean on details at times, but Odaseva has all the documentation (whitepapers) you need to set your organisation up for success e.g., The complete guide to Salesforce backup and restore. My organisation must restore historical data without changing it. This can present challenges e.g., inactive values in restricted picklists. This is a Salesforce limitation, not an Odaseva limitation. These issues need to be clearly understood. Odaseva logs clearly identify these issues and help you to identify the cause and possible resolutions. Odaseva is really versatile, from a simple automated job to a multi-step job where you deal with the many challenges required for sandbox seeding e.g., building gender anonymisation using a random number generator to randomly select gender from a list of Male, Female and Other. Odaseva support have been able to answer my many queries on my journey using Odaseva. Odaseva helped us resolve the issue and were very responsive. the backup options they provide are exhaustive and will suit any business needs. apart from backup they also provide sandbox seeding and anonymization services as well which are like cherry on top of the cake. **What do you dislike about Odaseva?** there are none. the admins won't need to maintain a extra service. once setup odaseva works seamlessly. their customer service is excellent and they are always there when you need them so you don't have to wait for them. **Recommendations to others considering Odaseva:** Highly recommend Odasewa for Data backup and archiving for salesforce services. excellent customer support and a fun team to work with **What problems is Odaseva solving and how is that benefiting you?** we mainly use backup services of Odaseva across our 6 orgs. we have full backup options as well as incremental. backup/restore is an important component in any enterprise solution and odaseva gives us peace of mind incase things go wrong. lately there have been many outages with salesforce , while they did not impact the database layer , knowing that the data is safely backedup in Odaseva gives us the clarity and reduced ambiguity. the data is also encrypted. odaseva has helped us restore our data when a nightly batch job roguely destroyed our activity history on few objects. ### 11. It also allows to back up multiple Orgs and also has data anonymization features for Sandbox, which is a neat feature to have. We are using Odaseva to primarily backup our SalesForce Orgs and it is doing a great job at backing up our data and metadata. All of our Orgs have different requirements and we were able to give different admins their own keys to operate the backups independently which is a great feature. Other solutions we analyzed did not have this feature and we would have had to buy multiple instances of their solution to meet our requirements. Also, working in financial markets we had to make sure it meets all of our security and legal requirements. It exceeds our expectations when it comes to data security. **What do you dislike about Odaseva?** Some of the features are not intuitive, there is a bit of a learning curve. Single record restore could have been more simpler. **Recommendations to others considering Odaseva:** It is an industry leading app for backup and quite easy to operate for SalesForce data backups. The main strength for us was that Odaseva not only offers Backup but also GDPR compliance thanks to data anonymization and sandbox seeding. **What do you dislike about Odaseva?** Pricing depends on the Organization size despite the fact that Odaseva really stores only the objects we decided to backup. In our cases, the percentage of really backup-ed objects is low compared to the organization size. So we feel like we're paying for something we don't use. Plus Odaseva doesn't work with Salesforce Marketing Cloud. **What problems is Odaseva solving and how is that benefiting you?** First, Salesforce does not offer backup as a service if the data loss is not Salesforce own's fault. Second, Salesforce data mask is quite limited (and expensive) as a GDPR compliance tool to pseudonymize data: it doesn't enforce personal data deletion, sandbox seeding and so on. ### 17. All of the data is stored in the cloud and encrypted with a customer key which not even Odaseva will keep. **What do you dislike about Odaseva?** Some of the functionalities are not available to the end user, so at some points the customer will need Odaseva's professional services for it when it should not be necessary.
