The fact that Octopus CRM's trial program isn't gated by credit card requirements speaks to the company's confidence in its own product. I was not let down at all. Octopus CRM isn't really a contact relationship management (CRM) system. It's a connection tool. So the use of the term CRM is a bit confusing. The only problem throughout my trial was figuring out how to set up funnels. While the video instructions are detailed enough, these are complex multi-step processes for most people. I've used other LinkedIn tools in the past to send messages and connection requests but Octopus is by far the easiest to use. It's also less expensive for the needs my team has. As a brand new user of this software, the placement of the how-to videos on one page makes the learning process quick and easy. Automation is critical if you are pressed for time. The process of being able to collect a list of targeted professionals on LinkedIn with Octopus is extremely helpful. No more having to manually send connection requests, and send messages one by one. This allows me to focus more on actually building a relationship with the people I connect with versus searching and connecting with people. Octopus saves me so much time by being able to focus on building relationships with people that I otherwise would not be able to. Also, being able to keep track of each connection in the process of if they replied to my first message is extremely helpful. The only feature that I think could improve Octopus is by creating an automated message sent to someone who accepts your connection request. Not the original message you send to a connection request. For example, if I connect with someone having a message sent automatically would be very helpful. Without having to go back and pull a list of recently connected people. Octopus CRM automates frequently used LinkedIn tasks and allows you to segment your connections into different markets. The dashboard feature allows me to stratify connection data to get a real sense of response rate among different organizations. The concierge service is an added benefit and well worth the premium. I would have to see how the value of this can be generated other than what is shown in the primer videos. Creating the campaigns is super easy and the visibility of how your campaign is tracking is excellent. I can't see much to dislike. I can run my campaign in a remote window in less than 30 minutes a day. Recommendation for effective campaigns would be excellent, but not required. What it does great: - Ability to save leads - Ability to save searches into individual campaigns and then feed them into individual funnel campaigns - Great to automate messages to leads (1-3rd degree) - Very easy to use interface - Ability to use funnels (needs a bit of work, but for sure is the best out there within the Recruiting Sector) \> Can easily move leads through your messaging pipeline no worries and Octopus will track whether they've replied or not. - Ability to track metrics - Customer Support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Octopus CRM? - The funnel system is not perfect - no ability to see if you are connected with someone ie. 1st,2nd 3rd-degree connection - no ability to export profiles as a PDF \< could be a great addition, this is just my idea :) - There is no error checker with the first name / company, ie. if you delete a % then it will be incomplete and not merge names correctly and/or insert a merge field twice, then it will send twice without notifying you but these are all minimal things Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
