Data management is not user friendly. Going through many steps just for adding data to workspace is not good. CAD export is another flaw, most of the time exported CAD files are not the results I wanted so I use another software for CAD export. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to make thematic maps. The tool of smart snap is very useful. While trying to digitize features, smart snapping makes it easier to visualize the objects and connect your vertices during edits. With the snapping tool it is possible to snap the objects by intersection, element, tangent, midpoint, vertex, origin, end point.

In addition to that, the labeling is a very important feature for planners and people who use maps and also this process takes so much time. But it is very easy to do this in GeoMedia because they never tend to end up in the right position or size proportionally. In order to solve this problem, GeoMedia developed a tool to label elements on a map with ease and in an intuitive way. There is no easy way for something which will be between scripting and plugin development (functional attributes do quite good job but it doesn't help sometimes). It is sometime unbelievably slow and it crash more then it is acceptable. Hexagon does not invest money in development of most advance softer in GIS world, it look like that development is stooped on middle of process. They sale some add-on/plugin with functionalities which exist today as basic function in all other GIS softer for ex. print to pdf.
