The pace of development has been very swift, so new tools are constantly being added. Any support requests are acknowledged and always dealt with thorougly and if they are bugs they are squashed very quickly. The ability to use lisp files with none or very little tweaking, which also gives you access to all the online lisps out there which are normally free (and their developers). 2D Parametrics. Options to buy outright, have maintenance support or subscribe. Definitley price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Octave BricsCAD? Very little really, the adherence to a lot of the Autocad commands is what irks me the most as they are some times quite quirky, but I guess Bricscad's market is to convert Autocad users so I can understand why this is so. Plotting/Exporting PDF's is overly complicated as it uses the awkward Autocad styled plot output methodology. The Dark theme shouldn't have so dark dialogs as they are difficult to read (Autocad's dialogs aren't as dark as the main screen icon areas). The ability to filter geometric constraints so you can hide all the extraneous ones and concentrate on the ones that actually change the design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. I am creating cardboard cartons and displays which can be drawn in 2D or 3D allowing me to visualise for clients what the item will look like before creating a prototype. Saving good money by not purchasing bespoke packaging software and also deciding what new features I want to include by having routines written by the myriad of lisp and .net developers out there.
