Compatibility with the most common formats, and lightness in use even with a large amount of data, whether vectors, rasters, or point clouds. The fact that it can be installed in multiple languages, and allows the use of the same license on both desktop and laptop. I was forced to finally upgrade my Windows OS to 10, rendering my suite of legacy software obsolete. BricsCAD gives you the option to either purchase an annual license with support to stay up-to-date on releases, or buy a perpetual license for software that will last five to ten years as the functions are bleeding edge anyway. The ability to bring in pointcloud data as e57 or las rather than converting to Recap saves lots of processing time. I mainly use for creating building elevations and floorplans from pointcloud data. I have yet to find anything major missing from BricsCAD compared to other CAD packages. We have solved the problem of having to pay approx £6.5k per year for Autodesk licenses for desktops, as well as additional LT licenses for laptops.
