## About ObservePoint
ObservePoint is a web governance platform that audits website analytics, privacy compliance, accessibility, consent validation (cookie banners), page performance, unapproved cookies, unapproved tags, and much more. ObservePoint helps privacy officers, analytics managers, developers, product managers, and security analysts ensure their digital experiences are working perfectly. Modern websites change constantly, and every release can introduce problems. ObservePoint detects issues by automatically scanning websites so teams can keep their websites working perfectly. ObservePoint is capable of scanning at scale: from a few pages to millions of pages. From a single domain to tens of thousands. This helps teams detect issues earlier, understand their impact, and reduce the time it takes to investigate and resolve problems. For privacy officers, ObservePoint scans from 30+ locations around the world, so teams can validate that their websites behave perfectly for visitors across many jurisdictions, including GDPR, DPDP, LGPD, and more. This is especially important for privacy officers who are responsible for complying with web privacy laws around the world. ObservePoint can interact with every major consent management platform (cookie banner) to validate the website’s behavior in every consent state. ObservePoint can simulate Global Privacy Control (GPC) to ensure websites comply with CCPA. For analytics managers, ObservePoint reports every tag on every page, including tag payloads and data layers. Analytics managers can validate that every tag carries the data they expect, and that data is collected consistently across all pages. ObservePoint helps you trust the web analytics data you use to make important business decisions, by ensuring it’s correct at the source.

## ObservePoint Reviews
  ### 1. Powerhouse with room to grow...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon M. | Sr. Analytics Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Tag audits and the epic amounts of data it returns! I can clearly see the overall performance of the site, tags that are broken, and third-party vendors that I may not use anymore.

The other tool I love is - the tag initiator. It's awesome to be able to see a graphical mapping of when/where tags are initiated. Perfect for performance debugging and tag audits.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Exports are great and provide large amounts of data; however, sometimes it's a bit much when all you want to do is look at a small part.

The other thing that I wish you could do is, download the tag initiator data. If you are looking at a single page in order to trouble, it would be fantastic to export that data out.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do a large number of tag audits with ObservePoint and the insight it provides makes my job/life a lot easier. I can quickly setup rules for advanced audits, and then just run them and walk away.

  ### 2. I love to use Observepoint as a general scanning and validation tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew W. | Analytics Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

I provides a nice interface to setup scans and then verify that data collection is working. I use it as an independent third-party to verify what I see in reports

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

The interface can be a bit noisy - so much going on with audits. I'd love more groupings and logical alignment in the tool.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is data collection working (and can it be verified independent of the analytics solution)

  ### 3. The tool is robust and the support from Jake B is awesome!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew H. | Manager, Performance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

The most helpful is the support we receive from Jake B and team as well as the ability to view all of the 3rd Party information.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Lack of dashboarding and report capabilities

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is capturing what 3rd parties are doing on our sites and where we can improve. It gives an in-depth view and where we need to focus.

  ### 4. Great customer service and helpful platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

The biggest selling point to me has been the automation with seeing when items fail, as well as the great customer service the reps provide. We've had several account managers through the years, and everyone is always so helpful and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Sometimes the notifications don't pull enough info, but overall, good platform. I have also noticed that when you uncheck the send notifications button, notifications will still send if you have an email in the box below.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

Utilize the customer account reps. They are very knowledgeable and willing to help.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving back-end data issues. OP helps us get real-time information on items that are broken.

  ### 5. It is an advanced tool to govern the tags on the site and maintaining the tags.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geetha D. | Associate Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

user friendly and very easy to understand
Easy to create audits and journeys
Establishing the rules and applying them on the Audits makes my work still more simpler
Failed page implementation UI is very attractive
Setting the user action in a Audit or Journey is quite good, so that i need to worry about my cookie acceptance been selected

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I cannot send the failed rule pages as an alert.
I am not able to schedule the alert with the new UI
Rule summary is quite confusing
Webhook implementation is quite handful
its take more time run
Sometimes the urls i add in the include list is not working as expected
I am finding difficlut to undertand the API configuration
I cannot send any extra information with the Rule alert i have activated
everytime the team has to Login to OP to check teh result which i don't think is quite reasonable giving access to all.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have built Audits and Journeys to check the KPIs on the site and check if they are triggering right on the site.
It has helped me in resolving the failed KPI to avoid the data loss
I can inform the market about the error and t be fixed immediately
i can keep tabs on tags and rules applied
I have given session on Observepoint to other teams and conducted workshops as well.
I am using Observepoint for Data Quality check

  ### 6. Great insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony D. | Analytics Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Simply put, I like that OP makes audits easy and actionable.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Maybe it could streamline the actionable insights in the output. Though it seems the tool is fairly streamlined already. It would be nice to have prettier outputs for specific sections. For example, when I'm doing an audit of a site and I see all of the third party tags within the Tag Presence section of the site, the output is not as pretty as your page. I downloaded a Chrome Plugin to output the page then slightly tweaked the HTML of the page and created a much prettier output with all of the 3rd party icons.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

OpservePoint is an excellent tool for streamlining audits of tags for understanding your implementations.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding the gaps within the implementations, we have installed across our brands. Managing all of the diverse tags out in the marketplace today can be tedious and take a lot of time. Having a tool that can organize the output from analytics is a huge time saver. These findings help us know we have a good baseline with minimal effort. I love what ObservePoint does for us.

  ### 7. Rating observepoint experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

All the reports, specifically tagging reports , datalayer drill downs

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

the audit score, doesn't give an overview at once, 10 props not working, or 20 evars not functional

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

manual audit became easier. Audit score gives a confidence

  ### 8. Observepoint has helped us find lots of tagging bugs we wouldn't have found otherwise

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Set up automated nightly audits that can either scan for differences or manually put in tags you want to make sure fire

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

It seems very code-heavy - I wish it was more drag and drop and easier for non-developers to use.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The audits we've set up have alerted us to broken tags we would not have found otherwise - helps us ensure clean data

  ### 9. Great set of data validation tools with a bright future ahead

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle R. | Analytics Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint's set of tools provides peace of mind to those with a stake in data collection. I love the regular audits on web pages and user journeys to verify the expected data points are being captured. I also like receiving alerts if something has broken or is not working as expected. I've caught many data layer and tagging errors that I may not have found without ObservePoint.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Like any new set of tools, there is a bit of a learning curve to understand all the capabilities and features that exist. It takes some upfront work to configure the audits and journeys, but it's well worth the time investment.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

If you're looking for a solution to validate your tags and data collection, I would seriously consider ObservePoint. They are a market leader in this space and the products have noticeably improved in the last couple of years. I expect that improvement to continue and the benefit that ObservePoint tools provide to keep increasing.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I primarily use the tools to validate data layer presence, analytics and marketing tags, and various data points inside those tags. I've also found benefit in identifying problems in the user experience, such as broken links, server errors, console errors, and slow load times. I've been able to find and fix data issues before they hit production, identify and fix broken links, and find any holes in the data collection that wouldn't show up in any analytics reports. I've also used ObservePoint to validate data governance and enforcement of privacy policies, such as GDPR. I'm able to simulate European users and regularly verify that tags and cookies are being blocked if people opt out of them.

  ### 10. I love it, it provides really useful website performance data.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aldana C. | Account Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint is a powerful and practical resource when performing web audits and making sure they are performing as expected. It allows us to quickly locate problems of all kinds that hinder the best performance of our websites. It generates excellent reports that will enable us to take preventive, corrective, and predictive measures to improve our websites.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

It is expensive and does not make available a free trial, and its user interface could be a little more intuitive. It also has some learning curve, but it is not very steep; it takes little time to overcome it.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

It is a safe and reliable tool to test websites and ensure that everything is working in the best way within them. It is the best tool on the market to audit websites, I recommend it.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an excellent resource; in my organization, supporting that goes hand in hand with our web development and marketing management. It helps us to locate factors that could be affecting the performance of websites, locate aspects that could be improved, and problems that warrant immediate correction.

  ### 11. Great Software I would like to use more.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Being able to see the data errors. It is a quick and easy process to find our data and be able to communicate with our team. It has been the easiest software to use so far.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I do dislike how I have not been able to use it more. I did not see any problems besides the learning curve.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were solving the problem of having much better data to relay into our customer experiences. It is a lot more quick and easy for us to do this.

  ### 12. WebAssurance surfaces deep issues in website, tagging and data layer. Set up is very manual.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie L. | Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Level of granularity and ability to compare values between tags and data layer

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

set up is not very friendly to non-technical partners. it is very manual and requires strong knowledge of tags and website data layer requirements

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

need to identify issues on website (data layer, tagging, site performance, and privacy issues). We performed a successful test and surfaced a couple issues in short time.

  ### 13. I'm very happy with ObservePoint

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Junior S. | Senior Analyst, Digital Analytics & Integration, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

OP tools and features are the best. I like the new UI implemented a while ago and I really like the tool as whole. Audits and Journeys give great possibilities, and recently I discovered LiveConnect, which is amazing. I definitely recommend ObservePoint.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I believe you could have better training. Good videos showing how to use the tool, and above all, how to interpret the data (results)

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our primary use case is test automation. When we implement a new project, we need to run extensive analytics tests, and OP helps a lot

  ### 14. Best site and tag validation service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rumen T. | Web Analytics Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2021

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint helps us validating our multiple tags and thus ensuring consistent and accurate firing/implementation and data collection. The new modern UI is great.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

The only thing I would mention is that I wish I had more customization options for the web audits email notifications.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to ObservePoint, we found some bugs and tags not firing correctly.

  ### 15. Trust your data and your insights.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SAMEER S. | Assistant Manager Human Resources, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2020

Nothing much it's the best software to use

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ObservePoint’s automated platform helps cross-departmental teams plan, deploy, QA, and validate their MarTech and analytics strategy at scale, so they can achieve unparalleled data quality and gain complete confidence in their data.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Nothing. All the features are helpful. No lags

The benifit was so good. I overcome the problem of digital user friendly platform where all employees can easily understand

  ### 17. Best of breed for digital data governance and QA

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2020

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

This tool is easy to use when creating QA "user journeys" that detect potential data leakage or missing tags on your website. The best is its ability to "watch" the user journey and record all tags firing in that journey, and then alert you when anything changes from current state.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Journeys often break as your website changes, so you get a lot of false positives. The journeys are sometimes difficult or time consuming to fix, so you need to reach out to their scripting team to support, which costs extra $$.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

Do a careful assessment of how ObservePoint scripts work on your site, as initial setup can be take time. Different web sites handle forms, CSS and other scripts differently. Recommend a trial period to ensure your site is compatible with ObservePoint.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to improve data quality from our tags by automating the normally manual process of tag quality assurance.

  ### 18. Validation on Point!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julian J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Unifying their data collection standards, capturing and validating every customer touchpoint, and generating trustworthy, actionable insights about their customers that drive real growth and increase ROI.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I am not sure that there is anything that I dislike about this product.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

It’s a fail-safe, preventative practice that we use when we do our releases and I’m more confident because we’ve got ObservePoint.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am NOT having any problems so far.

  ### 19. ObservePoint Usage

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2019

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

I had a huge data which needs to be organized and displayed to the client. When surfing the web i stumbled upon Observe point and how the data is categorized and displayed. with the help of observe point i was able to clearly slice across my data into smaller units which improved the visibility and was able to deliver on time. The client was impressed by the insights

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

To know about the products of Observe point each individual should key in the details and then wait for a specific time to know about the product which would increase the turn around time. It would be better if a trial download version of the product be available so the end user can plug and play with the product and get to know more info's.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

IOS Mobile Version of the app will be more helpful for more easier use of Observe Point

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a huge data which needs to be organized and displayed to the client. When surfing the web i stumbled upon Observe point and how the data is categorized and displayed. with the help of observe point i was able to clearly slice across my data into smaller units which improved the visibility and was able to deliver on time. With ObservePoint it is very easy to be able to audit a site to locate pages that are missing tags or that present very obvious problems, you can obtain data from these tags that can be used to help optimize the performance of a site. And what I like the most is its auto chat bot feature, which allows new users to take advantage of the service and get all the necessary information.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I sincerely like this platform I would just like to see more administrative aspects of the user interface to allow for orderly lists such as the list of users and properties.

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

I personally recommend ObservePoint to tag audits and monitor tags to provide an alert mechanism. ObservePoint is an exceptional resource for auditing websites and public content, the data obtained is excellent. With Observe point the problem is solved and it is a perfect pit stop for all the services that the Individual/organization is looking for

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AnKush R. | Senior Marketing Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2019

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Can easily audit site to locate pages missing tags or have obvious tag issues

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Due to the lack of updates to correct issues and bugs we just haven't gotten nearly the value from the product we expected

**Recommendations to others considering ObservePoint:**

It's hard to recommend the product until they fix all the glaring issues. Right now it just feels like still in beta testing stages.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

UI for simulations is really terrible. Very hard to set up simulations due to lack of things like xpath to target page elements as well as see what the simulation sees when there are problems.
