## ObservePoint Reviews
  ### 1. Observepoint key for data provacy controls tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oscar J. O. | Web Metrics Analyst, Insurance, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

The feature that assists us in monitoring the health of our tags is particularly useful, as it provides greater visibility into tag performance and helps us quickly identify and resolve potential issues before they impact data quality. This proactive insight not only improves implementation reliability but also increases confidence in our analytics reporting.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I think it would be valuable for the mobile app to offer additional features, as expanded functionality would significantly enhance the overall user experience. Providing more capabilities on mobile would not only improve convenience and efficiency, but also enable users to accomplish more tasks without needing to switch to a desktop environment.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GPC - CPA tag health is useful for monitoring website performance. It helps ensure that tags are functioning correctly and provides insights into the overall health of your website’s tracking setup.

  ### 2. ObservePoint is a great tool with great abilities but can be difficult to maintain

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. | Director of Analytics Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2024

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint is full of potential and possibilities. I'm actually surprised every time I find a use-case that I would like them to cover that they are not already covering due to how many use-cases they already take into account.

They provide a way for us to watch over our implementation, to verify our new changes work correctly before and after publishes and to feel more confident that things are working on the data colection side.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

#1 OP needs to offer consulting services. I want to be able to augment my team with an OP professional who uses the tool every day. Someone who can aid us in implementing the tool but then also be the person who works to maintain and report on what OP finds. There’s simply too much to cover for someone who is learning OP on the fly and likely only dabbles in the tool during their day to day work. They end up feeling lost or frustrated over time in trying to keep up with the implementation or what is actually valuable to report on. Too often I have worked at companies that implement OP with excitement only to fairly quickly burn out on the tool because no one is actively maintaining it or doing good reporting and analysis to show value from the tool.

#2 ObservePoint is difficult to maintain and is often purchased without a good understanding of just how much time needs to be set aside to build and report on its results but also to fix it when it breaks. Because IT WILL BREAK regularly for most people. That's not OP's fault, but it needs to be expected. Maintenance for this tool can be quite involved. ObservePoint is a finicky tool. Or rather, web sites are finicky and seemingly ever changing and it makes maintaining an OP implementation very difficult. If you have a web/marketing team that continually changes your website then OP is going to be much more difficult to maintain for in-depth Journey's/Audits. Higher level Audits can easily and reliably help you know if things break in analytics calls and pixels that are set on all page loads since you don't have to rely on click listeners. Journeys can let you know if a flow breaks and cannot be completed for some reason, but be wary, as OP may not be able to complete the Journey even though everyopne else can because of the "finicky-ness" of CSS Selectors.

#3 OP needs a server-side solution that works from the data storage side. I need them to be able to tell me if what is actually getting to the database is trending correctly or looks accurate. There is so much wiggle room and so many unknowns on the client side due to device types, browsers, and individual extensions, plugins, manual changes, etc that people use on their own devices. However, the data that actually arrives server-side is consistent and ultimately is the reality of what you are reporting on. I want a tool like OP that lets me validate that things look good on the client-side, but I'm also aching for one that allows me to use APIs to look at the collected data for trends and outages. One tool that reports in a unified way instead of having to rely on Adobe, Google, Meta, etc to provide good alerting tools. Many don't.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us verify that no critical flows/tags break in our implementation from changes made in DEV Environments before and after publishing to production. It also helps us track that our top landing pages have our most important tracking pixels as well as allowing us to see that in general our pages appear to be loading correctly and that all links work correctly.

  ### 3. Quality control inspector

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy B. | Principal Business Data Steward, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint is like having a quality control inspector for your digital data. It automatically audits websites and tags, ensuring that marketing technologies are firing correctly, privacy rules are being followed, and data is flowing as expected. Instead of relying on manual checks (which are tedious and easy to miss), it continuously scans and flags issues—so you can spend more time solving problems instead of hunting for them.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

It’s overwhelming at first.
The tool throws a firehose of data at you, and without a clear framework, it’s easy for teams to get lost in the noise instead of focusing on the real risks.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ObservePoint is our watchdog for digital data. It automatically audits our sites to catch broken or rogue tags, privacy risks, and bad data before they impact reporting or compliance. Instead of wasting time on manual QA or cleaning up after mistakes, we can trust our data, reduce risk, and give leaders confidence in the numbers they see.

  ### 4. Vital for our data governance activities

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam G. | Manager, Customer Success, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Our Customer Success team uses ObservePoint to ensure flawless digital experiences for our clients. By automating audits across websites and mobile apps, we proactively identify broken links, missing tracking codes, and data governance issues—helping clients maintain accurate analytics, optimize user journeys, and uphold privacy standards. This empowers our team to deliver expert guidance and measurable value, while keeping implementation clean and compliant

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

For a while it was hard to ensure the new server side implementations of Adobe technology would be seen in a he OP platform, but after meeting with their CTO, we partnered and is now in their technology.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Customer Success team leverages ObservePoint to proactively safeguard data integrity and trust across digital analytics implementations. By automating audits and validating tag accuracy, we catch issues before they impact reporting—ensuring our clients receive clean, reliable insights. This empowers us to deliver confident guidance, accelerate troubleshooting, and maintain high standards of privacy and performance.

  ### 5. Game-changer for post-migration recovery and ongoing governance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

The privacy compliance monitoring provides us with confidence across various geographic regions, as it simulates consent scenarios and verifies that our CMP is effectively blocking cookies before consent is given. The scheduled scanning and alerting help us identify broken landing pages and missing UTM parameters before they can negatively affect campaign performance. Most significantly, this tool shifted our approach from reactive problem-solving to proactive governance. The return on investment became evident within the first quarter, thanks to the prevention of conversion tracking failures.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Would benefit from better change detection features to reduce noise from non-critical updates.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privacy compliance validation is essential for our global operations. ObservePoint verifies that our consent management functions correctly across GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations by simulating various user consent scenarios. It identified unauthorized third-party cookies that could have led to substantial fines.

In terms of paid media efficiency, the platform continuously monitors landing page performance and load times. This has allowed us to avoid wasted ad spend caused by broken pages and to enhance our quality scores by ensuring our landing pages load quickly and are properly tracked. The value we've gained from recovered conversions and avoided SEM waste has more than justified the investment in the platform.

Most importantly, ObservePoint has enabled us to move from a reactive to a proactive approach. Rather than discovering tracking issues weeks later through flawed reports, we can now prevent these problems altogether. As a result, our data-driven decisions are truly based on accurate information.

  ### 6. Automated Audits of User Journey, Tags, Privacy, and Emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Building journeys is straightforward, with plenty of tests and scripting options that help us get the most out of our crawls. We initially used it to monitor analytics KPIs, and expanded our use from there. The detailed post-mortem reports are especially useful for analyzing journey findings. They allow me to pinpoint the exact source of issues like rogue cookies, broken JavaScript, content problems, and more. I appreciate that my reports are easy to share, and that users in different roles can access the tools they need without unnecessary complexity. Customer support has also been excellent; their team has even created journeys for us when we were too busy.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Easy to forget about and with infrequent use, I get lost in the configuration options.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ObservePoint keeps track of our most important metrics, including the analytics data layer and events, as well as our cookie compliance, email campaigns, and certain brand elements. The value it provides just by monitoring our metrics makes it worth the investment.

  ### 7. Finding gaps in customer implementations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** john m. | Customer success manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

When we do an adoption review of Adobe analytics, it’s a quick way to show the customer value and see where they have gaps and other things that they need to address in the analytics implementation. This opens the door for a possible referral to observe point as well as consulting opportunities with Adobe.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

The only downside is personal for me because I am heavily focused on target with a side focus on analytics or customer jury analytics and so I would like to see more features around their target implementation possibly.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s an additional tool for me when I am doing an adoption review with the customer around their Adobe analytics

  ### 8. User and live what Observepoint provides to Organization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael F. | Principal Product Owner - Data and Analytics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

I appreciate the ability to visualize amounts and the option to drill down further, allowing me to keep asking questions directly from the reports.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I would like to have more visualization options available so I can create more effective dashboards.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having visibility into data variables is essential for understanding how information is being processed and utilized. It allows me to track changes, identify potential issues, and ensure that the data is being handled correctly throughout different stages. This transparency makes it much easier to troubleshoot problems and optimize workflows.

  ### 9. ObservePoint is a critical piece of an organization's digital marketing platform.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris C. | Director, Digital Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2024

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Once learned, ObservePoint is highly extensible. Users are able to automate a wide array of tasks that has literally saved organizations I have worked for hundreds of hours. Additionally, the dedicated staff at ObsevePoint is very helpful. They take the time to understand their clients needs and propose solutions very quickly.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

The only thing about ObservePoint is the learning curve. That being said, the onboarding sessions are critical and the staff makes learning the platform fun and much easier.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team deployed ObservePoint to set a formalized digital governance practice. This practice bridged the marketing, compliance, and privacy teams to get a better understanding of cookies and tags used on our digital marketing platforms.

  ### 10. Exploring the Private World of Cookies Pop

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brayden H. | Political Data Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

I love their helpfulness and their ability to get into specifics. I love that they are always willing to go out on a limb and just work with me on an idea and brainstorm. That’s what’s valuable to me, beyond anything else. There’s a number of vendors who can do any given thing, but what I want is a partner.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I think the pricing model is hard to work through but mostly because we have so many clients ourselves that we need the tool for.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest delivery for me is helping me create that insight for my shareholders and fellow executives on the “why” of cookie measurements and importance for our business needs.

  ### 11. Powerful tool, they support and customize it for you

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

There is always a barrier to adoption when it comes to SaaS tools. What sets OP apart is that they have real people who support your use cases and help get things moving. This is one of the few martech tools I’ve seen that actually does this—most others leave you to figure things out on your own, and when you request customization, nothing happens.

In my industry, which focuses on ecommerce and web presence solutions, my team primarily uses OP for managing customer journeys, checking data accuracy for key analytics events, and ensuring that marketing pixels and third-party scripts are firing correctly throughout the journey. Another important use case for us is maintaining privacy compliance across hundreds of domains. I was also hoping to use OP for logging network and console errors in a way similar to datadog, but at the moment, OP can only function as a single agent and does not capture all sessions.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

First, I find the platform to be quite complex, making it difficult to get started and apply it to a specific use case. It’s also challenging to develop a habit of using it regularly.
Second, journey creation tends to break frequently, and fixing these issues is a very manual process. Fortunately, there is journey support available, and I’ve heard they are working on an AI tool to help reduce these problems. So optimistic on that.
Third, Another issue is that journey breakage alerts are sent as individual notifications, which are tough to manage. It’s hard to keep track of when something important breaks in a journey because the alerts are fragmented and use very generic language, making it difficult to quickly understand what exactly went wrong. It would be much more helpful if alerts were grouped together and summarized in a way that makes their meaning clearer. As it stands, I often end up catching journey breakages quite late, since I receive so many emails about various issues each day and can’t easily tell which ones are actually important breakages.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Observe Point addresses several important challenges that benefit us. First, it helps catch broken pixels at scale. Often, we might not realize when a pixel suddenly stops working or when the data it collects becomes unreliable. We have hundreds of domains and hundreds of events we are concerned with. Observe Point makes it possible to detect these issues across many sites and sends alerts when problems arise. Second, it scans hundreds of different websites and provides a scalable way to identify privacy errors or situations where consumer privacy is not being respected.

**Official Response from Dylan Sellers:**

> I love the feedback and I understand the need to improve UX generally, provide better onboarding, fatigue from Journey notifications and management. I think you should look at our new "Journey Run" Reports and scheduled exports capability. I recommend swapping your subscription to individual Journeys and instead subscribe to a scheduled export because it can be configured to contain much more detail about the Journey and address the notification fatigue you described. Feel free to contact me or your CSM to help.

  ### 12. Epic points to observe in the mountains

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

I like the safety net of knowing we have extra validation around consent management on our site. The audits, journeys and ability to schedule scans saves a lot of time and gives a sense of assurance that we are compliant with regulations and doing things the right way.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

I think OP is fantastic. However, the UI sometimes is not super intuitive. There is a lot to view on the screen and sometimes I don’t know what to do with it all. The training courses help but have to work closely sometimes with OP to get ideas to build exactly what we need. It’s a great tool, just has a bit of a learning curve for some.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us to create audits and scans of our tags, pixels and implementations we’ve set on our site. We get audit reports and data that helps us manage our CMP compliance and removes a lot of manual validations needed.

  ### 13. A must-have tool in your tag privacy governance

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Transparency, testing of the settings, tracking historical settings. It confirms that we are doing things right for our customers.

  ### 38. User-friendly solution for cookie compliance and tag QA

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2024

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Excellent for both QA and compliance. Data returned in audit reports is exhaustive. Makes it very easy to identify what cookies are being dropped and technologies are running on the site. Journeys are very easy to create. Once the upfront work is complete, you can have a number of audits and journeys running as part of BAU that will cover off nearly all compliance and QA concerns related to tags.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

There's nothing I dislike specifically, the only thing I would say that the web side of things is so good, I would really like to be able to run ObservePoint on apps too as this would be a great addition to our QA capability.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us a platform to check that our cookie consent management platform (CMP) is working correctly, and that the right tags are being deployed. Also, allows us to see the fourth-party requests made by tags we add to the site to understand more holistically what is being deployed. The reporting capabilities are excellent. We get an excellent understanding of what is deployed and when. Also, the flexibility to add rules and alerts means that we don't have to do the analysis after an audit has run to see if everything has been deployed as expected, we can rely on the alerts to let us know if something unexpected has been flagged.

  ### 39. ObservePoint Makes Tag/Cookie Scans Easy & Painless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | Senior Digital Marketing Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

ObservePoint makes it easy to better understand what marketing & analytics tags we have implemented across our various websites and applications. The Journeys feature allows us to quickly identify all of the cookies that we are leveraging throughout the customer experience so we can accurately label and implement them into our consent management process.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Setting up Journey steps can be a bit tedious. Luckily, ObservePoint has a great support team that can assist!

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use our tag management system to honor cookie consent preferences, but ObservePoint helps us identify and categorize these cookies so that work is possible

Observe point provides us with automated testing solutions and allows us to ensure our most important tags and events are firing reliably. It's a handsoff tool that allows us to confidently ensure we're collecting the right data at the right time across many different properties.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Observe Point does require quite a bit of initial setup. And can be a little difficult for the non technical person to set up. It can also be a little finicky to get the alerts and the rules set up in just the right way.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem we are trying to solve is we are a small team working across many different websites and don't have the time to manually check to ensure the tags and the data is being collected appropriately.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

1. Crawling the site just with the Domain Input is awesome.
2. Include & exclude filters helps the business to add/ignore the relevant URLs while scanning.
3. Scheduler makes out life easier by re-running the audits at recurring intervals.
4. Rules and alerts help the business to understand the changes then & thereby.
5. Auto executions based on business needs are at the top of the list.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

1. Running scans separately for different environments of the same domains i.e. Dev, Staging & Production.
2. While creating rules to compare the OP values against the expected, if there is an option to upload the files, it would be awesome.
3. Cumulative result export in 1 file would be good rather than multiple individual files.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Decreasing the manual effort in terms of testing.
2. Human errors are avoided and making the testing more efficient.
3. Iterations are handled diligently since it is just one click away to re-run the scan unless a manual one.
4. Since audits can be scheduled at recurring intervals, program management dependency is eliminated.
5. Alerts make life easier to understand the changes then & thereby rather than waiting for someone to catch the changes.
6. Data consistency is maintained since the errors are captured effectively, efficiently and at recurrng intervals.

  ### 49. Tag presence identification & rule library customizations features are excellent for web analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohana R. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint gives us automated analytics testing & tag governance for our web applications. It effectively verifies the accuracy of data collected on our website/mobile application through its segment integration provisions. Debugging of events is convenient as it provides real-time responses and we can also track multiple track requests simultaneously. It automatically performs tag scanning on our website for evaluating if the tag is broken, missing or present as a duplicate so that we can solve the issue quickly.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

ObservePoint doesn't have much of any drawbacks which will lead to disliking the product. Its significant feature includes the convenience of devices & browser agents support which further enhances our website audit & data governance. We can also configure ObservePoint to perform audits for our mobile applications.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our data pipeline breaks when any of our tags go missing or there is a duplicate tag and ObservePoint offers an excellent tag auditing process that is fully automated & accurate. It makes sure that all our implementations for data gathering are proper and all validations are carried out after scanning our web segments. It executes all our JavaScript parameters & values, and stores it in its dedicated tag database for future references after performing each audit.

  ### 50. Powerhouse with room to grow...

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon M. | Sr. Analytics Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2022

**What do you like best about ObservePoint?**

Tag audits and the epic amounts of data it returns! I can clearly see the overall performance of the site, tags that are broken, and third-party vendors that I may not use anymore.

The other tool I love is - the tag initiator. It's awesome to be able to see a graphical mapping of when/where tags are initiated. Perfect for performance debugging and tag audits.

**What do you dislike about ObservePoint?**

Exports are great and provide large amounts of data; however, sometimes it's a bit much when all you want to do is look at a small part.

The other thing that I wish you could do is, download the tag initiator data. If you are looking at a single page in order to trouble, it would be fantastic to export that data out.

**What problems is ObservePoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do a large number of tag audits with ObservePoint and the insight it provides makes my job/life a lot easier. I can quickly setup rules for advanced audits, and then just run them and walk away.
