## ObjectBox Reviews
  ### 1. my experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yousif F. | Network Security Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2025

**What do you like best about ObjectBox?**

Flexibility and adaptability: Modules can be independently updated or replaced without affecting the entire system, making it easier to adapt to changing needs.

**What do you dislike about ObjectBox?**

Limited query flexibility compared to SQL databases: Being an object database, ObjectBox does not support full SQL query language, which can limit complex querying flexibility for some use cases.

**What problems is ObjectBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slow and inefficient queries: Unlike traditional relational databases, ObjectBox is designed for high-speed, optimized queries that boost performance.

  ### 2. Optimal for simple data storage and easy access

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julien S. | Project Manager, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2024

**What do you like best about ObjectBox?**

The use of ObjectBox has been a positive addition to my mobile app development. Relative to more conventional SQL databases, it is blisteringly swift and only needed a few lines of code to perform basic data storage.

**What do you dislike about ObjectBox?**

ObjectBox has limited functionality when it comes to complicated queries. For example, it performs poorly in handling JOINs or aggregations on huge tables in comparison to better platforms.

**What problems is ObjectBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ObjectBox is the simplest solution for data storage for mobile application development. Its small size and focus on using a local database makes work with it easier for developers and the app remains functional even when the internet connection is not constant.

  ### 3. ObjectBox for webapp development uses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh T. | intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about ObjectBox?**

What I like most about objectBox is that designed to be fast and efficient, with low memory and CPU usage. It leverages memory mapping for optimal performance and is built using modern C++.

**What do you dislike about ObjectBox?**

What I dislike about ObjectBox is a relatively new technology; as such, it may have a smaller community and less documentation compared to more established databases.

**What problems is ObjectBox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mobile and edge devices often operate in environments with limited or intermittent connectivity. ObjectBox provides built-in data synchronization features, keeping data in sync across devices and platforms more accessible.

Object box is a developer first database. It has easy to use API. Highly scalable. It is quite useful for a small to medium scale application.

**What do you dislike about ObjectBox?**

I use VS code editor for my development. There is not enough intellisense support for object box yet.
