## Nutshell Reviews
  ### 1. Outstanding customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie A. | Owner/Travel Insurance Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I have been using Nutshell for 6 years now, and I like that it is very easy to navigate. I have always have outstanding customer support if I had questions or needed urgent assistance. I recently had an issue that needed urgent attention, and James was there to assist me. He resolved my issue, and was very friendly. I would highly recommend Nutshell to anyone. I have a few different CRM's over the past 20 years, and this one is the best!

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

There have been a few times where I have made an entry on a client's file, and then got distracted and started searching another client's file, losing all of the information I just added. I wish that there was an alert warning me that I did not click save, so that I wouldn't lose everything I just entered.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell allows me to store all of my client information, and track all of my sales. This keeps my business organized.

  ### 2. Positive onboarding; responsive Product team; streamlined interface. Good experience so far!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max J. | Director of Partnerships, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Just finished onboarding. Our onboarding expert, Devin Lehigh, was great! Thoughtful and responsive to our needs. He is well-integrated with Nutshell product roadmap and support team too. Compared favorably to previous onboarding we've received from Hubspot in the past.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Fewer integrations and features than big competitors like Hubspot, Salesforce, Dynamics. But that's the tradeoff with simplicity and ease of use.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coordination, knowledge management, tracking

  ### 3. Streamlined CRM Without the Bloat

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash D. | data analyst Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I use Nutshell primarily to manage leads, automate outreach, and keep my entire sales workflow organized without drowning in menus or pointless features. Nutshell is the first CRM that actually delivers on usability. It eliminates the chaos of tracking leads across spreadsheets, emails, and random notes by pulling everything into one clean pipeline. I love that it cuts follow-up delays to zero with automated sequences that handle repetitive outreach better than any manual system ever could. The biggest win is that it makes managing leads and follow-ups stupidly fast and frictionless. Nutshell removes the mental overhead—every lead, email, and follow-up is auto-organized so nothing slips through the cracks. Because the system handles the busywork, I stay focused on actual selling instead of babysitting a CRM. Pairing Nutshell with email and analytics tools keeps my outreach, tracking, and reporting fully synced. The initial setup was straightforward—importing data, configuring pipelines, and getting everyone onboarded took a fraction of the time compared to other CRMs.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

The only real drawback is that its customization options can feel limited when you're trying to build more complex, highly tailored workflows. It needs deeper field-level controls and more flexible automation triggers so advanced workflows don't feel boxed in.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nutshell to manage leads, automate outreach, and organize my sales workflow without extra clutter. It pulls leads into a clean pipeline, eliminates chaos, automates follow-ups, and removes the mental overhead of busywork, letting me focus on selling.

  ### 4. Easy Lead Entry, But Limited Functionality for Company Accounts

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hayden C. | Aircraft Research Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

It is easy to input people and leads into the CRM

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I am not able to do much else after putting the lead in, I can not even see my tasks. I am on a company account and it is very frustrating basically only being able to use nutshell as a notepad and placeholder. I don't know if I'm limited due to the selected plan or if it is because I am not the Primary account user. I hope our up coming call can fix a lot of these issue. It is a platform I want to use for the ease of use but dislike the restrictions i face.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No issues have been solved for me but I have an upcoming call and I hope it will fix all the issues.

  ### 5. Poor Support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

It appeared easy to use at the beginning.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

AI help desk , human help desk and training videos are very poor. It’s the number one reason we are switching vendors because it makes it difficult to complete the various tasks.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to keep track of our potential client interactions with ease. They have not met this need.

**Official Response from Will Gordon:**

> We're sorry to hear that you've had this experience. Would you mind emailing as at growth@nutshell.com to give us more specifics on where we failed you on the support end? Even if we can't make it better for you, we'd like to know where we've fallen short so that we can improve for our future Nutshell users.

  ### 6. Nutshell (In a Nutshell), it just works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Nutshell has a very user friendly and intuitive user interface.
The API gives access to numerous data points to aid in Process Integration
I especially like the feed back on Emails sent through the system. way more useful than basic Non-Delivery reports

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

While I enjoy all the aspects of the existing APIs, I would like to see an API to the Marketing section.
it would be helpful in managing email bounces, and other client touch feedback.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Coming from Salesforce, nutshell gives out sales team more seamless way of managing our customer engagement.
Other CRMs are trying to upsell you on features so the modular stitchwork of modules makes the software harder for non technical users to engage with
Now we have Nutshell, the sales staff can very easily move leads through the sales funnel with out too much training

  ### 7. Essential CRM for Streamlining Sales Pipeline

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madelyn M.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I really appreciate that Nutshell offers an integrated system allowing calls to be made directly within the platform. This feature takes notes for me and effectively tracks the last time customers were contacted, which greatly aids in managing customer relationships. Additionally, the drip sequence and tagging functionalities are impressive and work remarkably well, helping to streamline and personalize outreach efforts. My training on Nutshell went fairly easy, reflecting its user-friendly design. Overall, I am so satisfied with the experiences and functionalities that Nutshell provides that I would highly recommend it to others, exemplified by my eagerness to give it a perfect score of 10 out of 10.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I think what doesn't work as well is when I'm calling a customer and they don't answer. They end up calling back on my phone and it doesn't track any of that call in Nutshell.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nutshell to track sales pipelines, and it efficiently manages call notes and customer contact history, enhancing our sales process.

  ### 8. Intuitive without a lot of bells and whistles

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Nutshell simply gets the job done. It's not trying to be something it's not; it's for tracking and managing leads, at least in our business. And it nails that task with a simple process and UI.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Can at times feel a bit dated, like enterprise SaaS of old; even though there are modern features in the platform, the UI isn't designed to invite their use.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage sales across three functional groups in the company, and Nutshell helps us stay coordinated. We particularly like the ability to bcc Nutshell when we email leads and have those emails automatically populated in their profile.

  ### 9. Solid player that can make the big plays but misses the easy layups...

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wahab K. | Account Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

It's fairly intuitive and does what a CRM should do - you can find info easily and they have great reports. I also enjoyed my experience with their customer support team who handled my issue promptly. Nutshell is a good choice for teams needing basic features and looking to keep costs down.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

It can be slow and lag a lot at times which really disrupts your workflow. Also, one of my biggest pet peeves with the platform is the fact that call steps in a sequence are not a native feature. Addressing those two areas would make Nutshell a more versatile solution.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell allows our team to keep track of leads and deals easily while also giving us an idea of where we are at performance wise. I am easily able to filter leads and save lists which I can come back to later on which allows me to maintain my pipeline hygiene and ensure I'm on the path to hitting my number.

  ### 10. User-Friendly App with Quick Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andreina M.

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I find Nutshell incredibly user-friendly, which enhances my productivity by making it effortless to keep track of everything related to my sales notes. The app is particularly useful for my role in marketing and sales, where I'm often on the road. It provides the convenience of easily accessing crucial information without needing a computer, which is a tremendous advantage when working remotely or traveling. The setup of Nutshell was very easy—quick and simple—allowing me to get started without any hassles. This ease of use, combined with the convenience of mobile access, significantly aids in managing my tasks efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I think having access to a larger database of referral sources would be beneficial.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nutshell to keep track of everything easily, and access sales details on the go via my phone. It’s user-friendly, making it simple to quickly pull up information when I'm out marketing or on the road.

  ### 11. Enhances Deal Tracking with Room for Customization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenneth K.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I like using Nutshell CRM because it provides a great way to keep track of my opportunities and monitor the progress through different stages. One feature that stands out is the stage bar, which clearly shows where we are in the deal process, helping me communicate accurately with management, especially when I am at the negotiation stage. This feature enables me to forecast more accurately, which is invaluable in my work.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I find that Nutshell could be improved by allowing configuration of a portlet to write MEDDIC and track the next steps in detail for deals. It would be beneficial if I could have a working document integrated within the system to meticulously track and outline each step in the deal process, such as sign-offs, legal reviews, and walkthroughs.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nutshell to track opportunities and stage progress, which helps me update management and forecast accurately.

  ### 12. Great system and best onboarding we've had!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laurie B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

We've used Nutshell for a couple of months as our new CRM, and the onboarding process has been fantastic. Our salesperson told us how to use an upgrade to get our onboarding calls included in the package, and I'm so glad we did. We are beginning to put information into the system and it seems to work for the way our brains work. Even when we start wondering where to put something, there it is. Nutshell has done a great job of thinking like the sales teams that are end users, vs some others that were clearly built for engineers, not salespeople. Thank you Nutshell!

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

We haven't found a downside. So far, so good.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a place to keep our leads and deals. I speak at conferences and use a tool to gather leads, a different tool to set up meetings, and it's an intense process before and after the conference. We tried two other CRMs in the 10 years we've been in business and never had a good experience until now. We are now able to track our people, set up nurture systems, set up a sales funnel, and automate things we didn't know we could automate. We also have the marketing package and intend to create a newsletter and nurture sequences through Nutshell.

  ### 13. Getting started with Nutshell is a breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Marketing Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Getting started with Nutshell was a breeze. It's intuitive, clean, and fully functional from day one. I appreciate how quickly I was able to adapt, with minimal training required. The interface feels logical and modern, which means no resistance from new users.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Reporting is solid but lacks deep customization—some charts and dashboards feel limited for advanced users. SalesRobotG2

Customization options are somewhat restricted—adding more custom fields or adjusting layouts would be a welcome upgrade.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scattered sales data - Instead of juggling spreadsheets, sticky notes, and disconnected tools, Nutshell centralizes all leads, contacts, and deals into one clean pipeline.

Missed follow-ups - Automated reminders and task tracking ensure no lead slips through the cracks.

Complex CRMs with steep learning curves - Unlike other tools, Nutshell is intuitive and simple, so onboarding is fast and adoption is high.

Poor team visibility - Managers and reps can see the sales pipeline in real time, so everyone knows what stage deals are in and what needs to happen next.

Disconnected communication - Email syncing with Gmail/Outlook keeps all conversations tied to the right contact automatically.

  ### 14. It's pretty self-explanatory

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackie K. | Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I like that in your dashboard, all appointments are listed along the side, so there really is no need to go back and forth to google calendar to check appointments. I also like that I have the ability to put what I want showing on my dashboard vs what other people in company would rather have there. I work for a company that has multiple locations and I can make it show me only my location salespeople, which is nice to not have every single person's appointments or leads showing. What I also like about the dashboard is there is no limit on the cards that I wish to have showing. At least I haven't gotten to a limit and still have the option to add one if I want. It's pretty self-explanatory on what information gets entered and where. The text/email feature through Nutshell is great. I have created certain templates for emails to go to our customers for different reasons and it'll automatically insert the customer's name into the template email once I am in that person's info and click on send email and then just click send - super easy and takes just a few seconds/clicks. Nutshell also suggests if a person or lead could be a duplicate (perhaps previously entered by someone else with a different spelling, or maybe they've moved from the previous address and has the same name) and then you can merge them together if it is in fact a duplicate, or you could click not a duplicate if it's not.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

There are some things/selections that are repetitively entered in both Person and Lead. If I enter a lead before I enter a person, it does not pull all of their information that I already entered in the lead over to the person so address/phone number/email all need to be re-entered. However if the Person is entered first, then click create a lead, it will pull all of the information already entered over. (Now we just make sure we enter the person first so we aren't entering the same data twice)

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping better track of open leads that need to be moved through the pipeline. I used to have to keep a google excel sheet with every single lead, the date of their appointment, what date they were quoted, and then the dates they were either sold or became a dead lead and now I don't have to do that anymore if I don't want to because Nutshell dashboard shows me the information I want to see

  ### 15. Intuitive CRM with Limitless Accessibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug G. | Client Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I like that Nutshell is very intuitive, easy to set up, simple to use, and cloud-based, so I can use it anywhere. This makes my sales forecasting easier, especially because I'm on the road a lot. The initial setup was pretty easy once I figured out the basic steps, and it didn't take too long.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

It can be a little bit basic compared to CRMs like Salesforce. I would like to see more integrations with other tools that we use, such as Slack, ClickUp, or HubSpot.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell helps me manage my pipeline and forecast sales. It's intuitive, easy to set up, and cloud-based, making my sales forecasting easier while I'm on the road.

  ### 16. Full Powered Information on the Road.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Product Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I am able to access my Nutshell information while I am travelling, and being untethered to a desktop is very important. I am able to use my mobile phone to access the full power of Nutshell and view/modify contacts, add notes, and check customer scheduling and history anytime, anywhere.
It was necessary to quickly pivot my schedule this week, and by being able to access Nutshell all day, frequently, I was able to manage my time and my customer meetings.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Not a Nutshell problem, though data lag when out of primary cellular network can be frustrating.
As for features, so far with about two months of continuous use, no negatives to report at this time.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By integrating Nutshell with my customer contacts and messages, I am able to quickly catch up on the history of my accounts and be better prepared when meeting with my customers. This will be invaluable with several customers that I contact intermittently/infrequently.

  ### 17. Great customizable CRM, adaptable to your unique needs.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Professional Training & Coaching

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

The amount of customization that is embedded throughout (including tags, lists, and workflows). The onboarding process is also very supportive by providing three free onboarding meetings with a Nutshell team member, and sharing a template for customizing your workflows with their support.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

There are some items I wanted to suggest for feedback, but the feedback button was not working for me. Notably, I would suggest the following as items for the team to hopefully integrate:
- making the email pop-up box to be adjustable in size (the email body box can be quite small if you are cc'ing someone)
- allow the use of email templates when replying to emails (currently you can send email templates only if you start a new email chain, but it is nice for clients to be able to see a follow-up/reply to a message in the same chain for context)
- allow tags to be editable and mergeable with other tags (it would be great if you could edit the tag text as well as merge multiple tags together)
- you should be able to pin lists to the top of your lists section for companies, people, and leads for ease of access
- for custom $ value fields, you should be able to see the total amount when viewing that group or list of leads

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking clients, leads, and won projects including fees

  ### 18. Affordable All-in-One CRM with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I love their customer support team. They're very responsive and very positive. I use broadcast tools, which make it a nice simple way to run sales emails and marketing cadences. Nutshell is very easy to set up on your own, but the customer support team helps you out too.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Well, Nutshell is a jack of all trades. I would say it's kind of a master of none. I could see people saying maybe they need a little bit more. For example, first drip campaigns for sales, there's other systems that just do a lot better and more complex job.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell provides a cost-effective contact management system, essential for our small company budget. It keeps track of our contacts, covering marketing and sales. It's a jack-of-all-trades solution, great for our needs with affordability and essential tracking features.

  ### 19. Easy to Use Program

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I like how simple and easy it is to use Nutshell. The learning curve is not steep, so it's easy for new employees to learn.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Sometimes it's a little too basic. It works for our needs, because our sales cycles aren't terribly involved, but sometimes the functions with email templates and automate responses are limited. One thing that stood out to me was that it only lets you do so many "goals" in each sales cycle stage in the lead. For example, our goal for multiple stages might be to get an email response, or for the customer to acknowledge something. It only lets us have that option once per stage in the lead.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Nutshell, we didn't have a CRM. This is solving many issues!

  ### 20. Streamlined, Intuitive, and Perfect for Managing a Real Sales Process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Nutshell makes it incredibly easy to turn a messy sales process into something clean, trackable, and repeatable. I use it to manage our Caribshopper B2B sales outreach, where we handle hundreds of wholesale leads across multiple states. The customization options are powerful — I built a complete pipeline with clear stages, tasks, and automation triggers in just a few hours. My team can log in, see exactly what to do next, and move leads forward confidently.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

The integrations aren’t as straight forward as I thought they would be. I do love the dialers they have for instance but it’s difficult to customize them the way I would like. This is however understandable.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell has given structure to our inside sales process. Before, we were tracking leads in spreadsheets and emails. Now, everything from lead imports to follow-up calls and meetings lives in one place. It helps me manage my team, measure productivity, and report progress to leadership without chasing updates. The system is simple enough for new reps to learn quickly but powerful enough for building advanced pipelines.

  ### 21. Amazing Support While Getting Started

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Just learning it, but support has been amazing.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I don't like that scheduling set up in the Pro rquires an upgraded account to customize.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More refined system than what I was using previously. I just moved from a platfrom I was using for 7 years, which is scary, and so far this has been an easy transition.

  ### 22. Streamlined CRM with Excellent Value

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dayton S.

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I appreciate Nutshell for its simplicity and functionality, which fits my needs perfectly as a CRM for my startup. The setup process was smooth and enjoyable, fulfilling my expectations under the eighty-twenty rule in terms of balance between development maturity and cost. I love how Nutshell provides great reminders and a singular source of truth, helping me organize and keep track of business operations without being overwhelmed. The revenue forecasting feature is also a fantastic tool, helping me plan and project future revenues effectively. I find it to be a good value considering the price compared to larger providers. The functionality to help communicate with people more efficiently and to plan out my business is highly beneficial. I also like how it meets essential needs without requiring additional CRM software, making my CRM process straightforward and integrated.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

There are some silly issues with the differentiation between tasks and people, which needs improvement. Additionally, there could be more automations built in, to reduce the need to redo some work, which could enhance efficiency. These are not major automations but small improvements would be beneficial, especially when entering a new project.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell gives me great reminders, helps me organize, and provides a single source of truth, reducing mental load. It also offers revenue forecasting, aiding in communication and business planning.

  ### 23. Streamlined Sales Pipeline, Needs Better Automation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary Z.

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I find Nutshell to be quite user-friendly, making it straightforward to manage various aspects of my sales work. I particularly appreciate how easily I picked it up during my initial training, which speaks to its intuitive design. The platform simplifies tracking my sales pipeline, which is crucial for managing my clients and prospects. The visual representation of the sales pipeline, whether as a chart or a list, is very beneficial as it clearly outlines each stage. It assists me in keeping track of where I am with different prospects, and I can swiftly follow up by accessing the last interaction I've had with them. This feature empowers me to maintain a seamless follow-up process with customers, ensuring continuity and efficiency. Overall, my experience with Nutshell has been positive and straightforward, making it a valuable tool in my daily sales tasks.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I wish Nutshell offered more automation capabilities. The current level of automation seems limited, which means there are repetitive tasks that still need to be manually handled. Additionally, there is a desire for more seamless integration, especially with tools like Podium and other lead capture sources. Right now, the marketing team has to manually convert and assign leads, which could be automated for better efficiency. Improved backend API integrations using AI would greatly enhance the convenience and efficiency of our workflow.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Nutshell makes it easy to track my sales pipeline and move prospects through stages with visual aids, helping me pick up customer interactions right where I left off.

  ### 24. Simple Contact Management, Lacks Integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I like that Nutshell is simple and relatively easy to navigate. I also value pipeline automations, which are quite useful for my work.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

It doesn't integrate with anything, and there are some comms limitations (i.e. can't cc people on emails, can't personalize on large scale emails)

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nutshell for contact management and communications, providing a consistent place to store all contact records and communications across the organization.

**Official Response from Jewell July:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Nutshell! We're glad to hear that Nutshell is easy to use and provides insight into your contacts, email campaigns, and sales pipelines.

I also appreciate your feedback about integration options. If there are specific apps you'd like to integrate with Nutshell, let our team know to see what's available through our App Marketplace: https://www.nutshell.com/appconnect.

  ### 25. Great CRM That's Consistently Improving!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garret W. | Regional Customer Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

We've been using Nutshell for over 4 years for our business and it's been instrumental for keeping our client list up to date and managing our leads. They have a roadmap that consistently improves their system and features

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Some of the roadmap/AI features are not very helpful for our industry. We would like if Nutshell had a scheduling feature for projects/travel.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell helps us manage our leads and customer base, in addition to having some great custom fields that our scheduling team uses.

**Official Response from Jewell July:**

> Thank you so much for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Garret! We're glad to hear your team has been using Nutshell for 3 years to manage your leads!

I also appreciate you sharing your feedback about using Scheduler to schedule projects/travel. We're always working to make Nutshell the best CRM for our customers, so I've shared your request with our product development team for consideration in future updates.

All the best,

  ### 26. A Great Help for Keeping Marketing Campaigns Organized

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany R. | Executive Administrative Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

It has been a great help in keeping our marketing campaigns organized when we were doing mailing.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

There are a couple of processes that we had to develop work arounds for because they weren't easily accessible otherwise.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was very helpful in helping organize a large platform of prospective clients and our marketing mailings.

  ### 27. Excellent Support and User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liam D. | Sales and Estimator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Great Staff and Support. Ease of use was simple. Great way to help see things flow.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Lead automation is there but mostly its lacking depending on what you need. Logging activities is still manual. Can be easy to forget.w

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For a starter CRM. This was a great option. I have been using this software for the past 3 years and the changes and updates, along with the support of there staff really made my experience smooth and easy.

  ### 28. Very disappointed in platform

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

There is not much I can say I liked due to the complications with the system

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

The inability for automations in regards to outside platforms was nonexistent. Pipelines would not be automated to website form submissions and therefore every client who came into the platform had to manually have an email drip sequence added to their contact. There was major inconsistencies between what was on the lead page versus the persons page. You had to jump between the two to make sure emails were sent and read. It was very clunky and inconsistent and messy. The email templates were superbasic and did not have a true professional look.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. we had to leave and go to hubspot

  ### 29. Excellent tool for small businesses looking to sophisticate their marketing data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

The value is unbeatable. We access Nutshell through part of a larger marketing platform suite form our agency. I don't actually know the typical cost for Nutshell alone but the cost we pay for the full suite is excellent value for all the tools we receive.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

The only downsides I've experienced so far:
- We want to use the scheduler, but would like it to connect to a Outlook calendar in 2 directions - so reflect real time availability
- Exporting VisitorIQ customer data is cumbersome

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Just scratching the surface on these
- more nimble deployment of email and landing pages
- Deepen understanding of customer engagement with our site to support our sales team

  ### 30. In a nutshell, literally.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Easy to navigate, user friendly, everything you need for your CRM in a nutshell.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

As far as I can tell, I am satisfied with the platfrom, so far so good.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed an easy to use CRM that has all my contact in one place and easy to find. With nutshell, I received much more than that.

  ### 31. Easy and User Friendly Platform for CRM and Email Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raven S. | Content Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Nutshell makes my job so much easier. I primarily use it for email marketing, and I’m honestly impressed by how intuitive and flexible it is. Designing beautiful, custom emails is a breeze, you can drag in blocks, resize images, and tweak layouts without any hassle. Scheduling campaigns, uploading and updating audiences it's all super smooth.

One of my favourite features? The ability to build and customize website forms effortlessly. Plus, you get access to clear, actionable insights from both forms and email campaigns, which makes monthly reporting quick and painless. Overall, Nutshell has become an essential tool in my day-to-day workflow.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

One of the only minor downsides I’ve experienced with Nutshell is that email sending has occasionally been a bit slow though it's only happened once or twice. That said, their customer support was quick to respond and super helpful in diagnosing the issue. Since then, everything’s been running smoothly. It’s great to know there's a reliable team behind the product when you need them.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell helps streamline our marketing and lead capture processes, making it easy to engage with our audience and grow our customer base. Before, creating custom email campaigns and managing form submissions across platforms was time-consuming and disconnected. With Nutshell, we can build beautiful emails, manage audiences, track engagement, and capture leads through embedded forms all in one place. It’s helped us stay organized, save time, and improve the quality of our outreach and reporting.

  ### 32. Highly Customizable with Tons of Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie M. | senior consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Nutshell has a huge amount of options in general as well as options for customization, which I love! Also was impressed by the customer service: they followed up and made sure things were resolved.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

not being able to import pictures during the initial import (but that is likely a general issue for this type of software)

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

keeping track of when we contact our clients in which way
enabling us to reach many clients easily

  ### 33. Effective Marketing Tool with Stability Concerns

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniele G. | Client Partnerships Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I appreciate Nutshell's interface, which simplifies my workflow and enhances productivity. The way it displays activities on a monthly and weekly basis is particularly beneficial, as it allows me to track progress effectively and manage tasks efficiently. I also value the feature that lets me see the progression of work, which provides a clear overview of ongoing and completed tasks, aiding in better decision-making. Furthermore, the initial setup process was straightforward, which minimized downtime and enabled a quick start to using the platform.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I find the frequent crashes to be a significant issue, as they occur every few days and disrupt my workflow.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Nutshell for marketing. It offers a good interface and helpful activity displays for managing workload, although it occasionally crashes.

  ### 34. Great software for a great price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arlin F. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

When I first signed up for Nutshell I had two video calls with the support team to get me started off which was great. It was very easy to implement and connect to our reservation system to bring all our data in without issue. Nutshell allowed us to get insights into our data that we hadn't previously had. We also benefitted greatly from the ability to centralize our email in one platform and connect it with sales data.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

We didn't see any downsides of using Nutshell.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves problems of managing customer interactions in one space - instead of having multiple email accounts that need to be managed individually, we can see everything in Nutshell in a very intuitive way. We can also connect sales pipelines to email comms so that everybody can stay on the same page and make us more seamless. This saves a significant of time in following up calls and knowing what the last interactions with certain customers were, even if our staff members are not available.

**Official Response from Jewell July:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Arlin! We're glad to hear how Nutshell is helping you centralize your sales data and communications, manage customer interactions and save time following up with customers!

All the best,
Jewell from Nutshell

  ### 35. Great but would appreciate more label and organizing options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maggie M. | Business Development Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I like the search feature, the sequencing email options, and the map feature. It makes it easier to find information, keep contact with clients, and find information.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I can't label when a company has more than 1 phone number. If someone on my team else was looking at it, they wouldn't know which to use. Also, when you remove a user from a company, I do not like that all of the communication with them disappears from the company's history. Lastly, when scrolling down to the beginning of a company's communication, it takes way too long to load. I would appreciate the earlier messages being first, or at least a feature to reverse the current order.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't seen enough of it to know how it has been changing. It currently benefits me by organizing the customers I work with, making outreach much easier, and having notes to add to a company or person.

**Official Response from Jewell July:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive review of Nutshell, Maggie! We're glad to hear how Nutshell is helping you organize your contacts!

To set a phone number as primary, click on the "Phone" dropdown menu above the contact's number on their page and select the label you'd like for the number - you can even create a custom label. And I appreciate your feedback about sorting through a company's timeline - our team is working to provide greater customization options here! In the meantime, the AI summary feature makes it quick to get a thorough summary of a contact's timeline in only a few seconds. **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus S. | New Business Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

It's an intuitive platform, easy to access and use, making my day easier and more productive through the use of its tools.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I haven't yet found any opportunities for improvement or any aspect that I disliked. I hear the team say that the database isn't uniform, meaning it doesn't always show the same data to everyone, but I haven't experienced this myself, so I can't confirm it.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It contains all the leads we generate daily, all the necessary information about the clients in our portfolio, and tracks how much money enters our cash flow each day.

  ### 37. User-Friendly CRM with Room for Customization

I like Nutshell's human-friendly interface and the way it handles email and automation without creating chaos. It helps me by reducing my time by following up on tasks promptly, and I never have to ask what we talked about last time.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Sometimes I want to divide data in very specific ways and Nutshell makes me choose simple views. It could improve by enhancing list filtering and visualization.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell handles contact management efficiently, provides a human-friendly interface, and automates follow-ups, saving me time and ensuring I never forget past conversations.

  ### 38. Nutshell made my work way more efficient

I didn't have to contact Customer Support too often, but the service was superb.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I can't think of any negative points regarding Nutshell.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us out a lot streamlining and setting up reminders for the many steps that we have in our sales.

**Official Response from Jewell July:**

I like how easy it is to get people up and running in it, it is very intuitive and user friendly. The ability to easily customize it for our business’ needs is awesome and I can confidently say it makes my life much easier for CRM management!

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Every once in a while I run across an issue where I’m making a global change and it doesn’t act like I think it should but this may be more user error than a Nutshell issue.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to store contacts, send email blasts, track Engagement and performance, and interface with our in-house system through customization makes it pivotal to our business.

  ### 40. Seamless Integration with Gmail for Effortless Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan P.

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I love Nutshell for its easy-to-use interface, which makes managing customer communication and tracking effortless. The simplicity of navigation ensures that I can focus on more critical tasks without worrying about complicated processes. Additionally, the compatibility with Gmail is a game-changer for me as it prevents the duplication of emails across different platforms, maintaining efficiency and organization in my communications. The automation of follow-up emails is another feature I find incredibly valuable, as it saves time and ensures timely communication with my customers without manual intervention.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I dislike the delay between email syncing, which interrupts timely communication and affects workflow efficiency.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Nutshell streamlines customer communication by automating follow-up emails and preventing duplicate emails with its compatibility with Gmail.

  ### 41. Nutshell for Sales Workflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carter L. | Property Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I use Nutshell most for sales management. The pipeline flow is so clear and easy to move leads from one stage to another. I was able to learn the process very quickly.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

I have not experienced downsides, but I wish the side bar was customizable for the pages I spend the most time on.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It organizes our sales leads as they come in. We get people that call, text, and schedule tours. Nutshell shows us how they contacted us, what they shared in their message and what we should do next to move them along in the pipeline. Without Nutshell, our sales management would be a mess and much less streamlined.

  ### 42. Excellent Customer Service and Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

Ease of use and price compared to competitive products

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

No real criticisms thus far. There is a learning curve associated with transition from prior CRM tool.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effective CRM tool that allows us to better manage client accounts and sales pipelines

  ### 43. Strong bones, lacks some polish but support availability is helpful

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

I have had a great experience with Nutshell's support team. They were very helpful in resolving issues either by directing me to the right resource or straight up fixing an error I made in our database. It's good to know you have that safety net.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Nutshell is not the most user-friendly CRM on the market. It feels clunkier than other CRM's I have worked with, but in many ways it is better than many CRMs I have used.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nutshell is providing a versatile CRM for a great price point. It allows our team to analyze and optimize our sales journey.

  ### 44. Nutshell has been a game-changer for our company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

1) Nutshell Marketing. Has revolutionized our ability to stay in touch with clients, to market to clients, and to move freight. Literally equivalent to an FTE, or more.

2) Email templates. Have just started to use this feature. Ability to quickly send personal emails to clusters of clients, partners, service providers, etc., is fantastic

3) Project Management. Allows us to keep up-to-date tabs on 100+ simultaneous projects.

4) Customer Support. Prompt. Genuinely interested. Genuinely helpful and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Apart from a couple of niggling details, I have zero complaints about Nutshell.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

See above. Nutshell has been transformative in helping us improve our marketing to and communications with clients and service providers. We are SO much more efficient.

Our weekly sales/project reviews have been driven by Nutshell for years. In our busiest season we need to track dozens of projects in various stages of sales, implementation, and closeout. I cannot imagine how we would do this without Nutshell.

I know we are using only a fraction of Nutshell's total capabilities, but that fraction is absolutely critical to our sucess.

**Official Response from Jewell July:**

> Thank you so much for sharing your kind words and positive experience with Nutshell! We're excited to hear Nutshell is helping you market to clients, manage projects, and improve efficiency! It's feedback like yours that helps motivate us to keep making Nutshell the best CRM for our customers!

Sincerely, Jewell from Nutshell

  ### 45. Nutshell Is a Game Changer with Outstanding Support and Powerful Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

From the initial demo to fully utilizing the CRM, the Nutshell customer support team has provided start-up guidance in a professional manner. As part of the integration they offer live chats, a helpful shellbot, how-to articles, collaboration by email, and YouTube instructional videos, all of which have been very useful. I am genuinely impressed. Having used Nutshell in the past, I returned to find myself amazed by the new features now available to me. These enhancements support not only sales CRM functions but also marketing and engagement, making it a comprehensive, turn-key CRM solution. In my version, I can sequence emails using pre-set templates, which saves me significant time and ensures my prospects are consistently contacted. Additionally, the ProspectorIQ feature, which is AI-driven, allows me to search for contacts and upload company information with just a click. Having used an ERP in the past, I can honestly say that, for the value, Nutshell is a game changer as I use it everyday as a strategic part of sales and marketing strategy.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Initially, I found the set-up process more challenging than I remembered, which made navigating the new features a bit stressful. However, customer service was very helpful and provided the support I needed for a successful implementation and integration. Their assistance truly deserves five stars.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are so many benefits and so little time to list them all. Not only do I have the Desktop version it comes with the Nutshell App, therefore, I have easy access to all my prospects and clients, while on the road. I never forget to follow up with a prospect thanks to the email sequencing feature. The automation tools, such as Pipelines, Lead outcomes, email templates, and quota settings, are incredibly useful. Managing over 1,200 prospects across three territories has become effortless. I also have access to numerous reports for tracking KPIs. While there are countless advantages, the greatest one is the time saved by streamlining the sales process, which ultimately helps me save money and increase my earnings.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Nutshell?**

It serves my goal into understanding the source of our leads and the value of them. Especially through time.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

When a lead is lost, the program doesn't give too many options of reasons. I need to manually add a note to describe the reason of the lead being lost. Also, it duplicates the leads sometimes

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps the management identify the sources of our leads, and the areas we are having more attention and the areas we are lacking into. It helps also understand the value of the leads.

  ### 49. Complete Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing

I like that everything I need is in one application. From keeping track of customer touchpoints to sending out marketing emails, Nutshell makes it easy.

**What do you dislike about Nutshell?**

Since I enter a lot of new contacts it would help if when you search there is an option to use your search name and add a customer or company. This way you don't have to enter it twice.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer Contact - We can reach our customers all at once with our marketing emails. It also keeps track of open rate and clicks so we can take action on that information.
CRM - This information allows us to provide uninterrupted customer service. If someone is on vacation, we can easily pick up just by looking at the customer's information.

**What problems is Nutshell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contact organaztion - employee task observation - last touch data
