"Robust Cloud Solution with Cost Flexibility Needs"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I find the disaster recovery strategies provided by Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) really effective, especially when it comes to multiregion failures, which my customers often require. The templates available also work quite well for my needs. Additionally, I appreciate how intuitive NCI is compared to other cloud providers, making it easier to troubleshoot infrastructure issues across compute, storage, and networking layers in production environments for my customers. The setup was pretty easy for us, adding to its usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I would say some of the licensing, for example, some of our Synology boxes that run on storage, can be a little bit expensive. Compared to more modular setups or on-premise setups, such as having VMware plus custom hardware. So sometimes the cost model is a bit restrictive. I would just like the flexibility to change the pricing options a bit better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I like how easy it is to use and manage everything on a single platform with Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI). The interface is clean and user-friendly, saving me a lot of time by simplifying tasks. I also appreciate how reliable and scalable it is, making it easy to handle different workloads without hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

While Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) is user-friendly overall, there are some advanced features that take time to fully understand, especially for new users like I was. There's a learning curve, particularly with configuring more complex applications. Additionally, the cost can be a bit on the expensive side for smaller organizations. I also think there's room for improvement in terms of detailed documentation and support resources for certain features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified Management for Small Teams with NCI"
4/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I like how Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure brings different infrastructure components together, making it much easier to manage. It provides good visibility and reduces operational overhead, which makes routine administration smoother for a small team like ours. It reduces the complexity of managing infrastructure across different layers and offers a streamlined setup that's easier to monitor, maintain, and scale. The platform's ability to give us a clearer view of everything in one place makes day-to-day administration easier, faster, and less error-prone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

One area that could be improved is the initial setup and learning curve, especially if someone is new to the platform. Once everything is in, it works well, but onboarding and some advanced areas could feel a little more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified IT Management with Nutanix, But Costly to Scale"
4/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I love the one-click upgrade functions, which update the system fast and risk-free. The system is very clean and easy to navigate, making our entire IT setup much simpler. NCI combines our storage, compute, and networking into one platform, saving our team hours of work because everything is in one dashboard. It works perfectly with NC2, which lets us run the same software in AWS or Azure, allowing us to move apps to the cloud without changing the code. The initial setup was quite easy and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

No platform is perfect. The initial setup cost can be very high. Licensing is often tied to CPU cores, which makes scaling quite expensive. Modern CPUs often have 64 or 128 cores. If we buy high core CPUs, we end up paying more for the software license than we did for the physical hardware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I have been using Nutanix products for multiple Global customers and this review is based on my experience.

Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure is a powerful and mature hyperconverged infrastructure solution that delivers excellent performance, scalability, and reliability.

The unified management through Prism makes day-to-day operations simple and intuitive, even for complex environments.

One of the biggest strengths of Nutanix is its ability to consolidate compute, storage, and virtualization into a single platform, reducing hardware dependency and operational complexity.

The platform scales seamlessly as business needs grow, and upgrades are generally smooth with minimal downtime.

Overall, Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure has helped improve system stability, reduce management effort, and lower total cost of ownership. It is a strong solution for organizations looking to modernize their on-prem or hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Also, Nutanix provides very efficient customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

Nothing as such to report.

I have also supported other Private cloud solution like Vmware, but Nutanix is very easy to manage for day to day operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Lifecycle Management, but Pricey Licensing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

I love how Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) solves the headache of complex upgrades and downtime with its seamless, one-click lifecycle management, which is a massive time-saver. The ability to handle firmware, hypervisor, and AOS upgrades seamlessly without downtime is really appreciated. I also like the native AHV hypervisor because it is highly secure and performed well while eliminating the high licensing costs and complexity associated with traditional third-party hypervisors. Additionally, the initial setup was incredibly straightforward using the Nutanix Foundation tool, which largely automated imaging nodes and configuring the cluster, significantly reducing deployment time compared to a traditional multi-vendor hardware stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

The software licensing costs can be quite high, particularly when scaling up or transitioning fully out of legacy environments. While it saves money on the hypervisor side, the initial AOS licensing and renewal fees require a significant budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I also appreciate its flexibility to run workloads across multiple cloud environments while maintaining consistent performance and security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

One of the main dislikes about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) is that the licensing and pricing can be expensive, especially for smaller organizations or growing environments. Initial setup and advanced configuration may also require skilled resources and training. In some cases, troubleshooting complex issues can take time because of the layered architecture. Additionally, certain advanced features and integrations may not be as flexible as traditional infrastructure solutions, and organizations heavily dependent on VMware ecosystems may face migration or compatibility challenges while transitioning to NCI. "NCI Simplifies Hybrid Infrastructure with a Strong Hyperconverged Approach"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

In my personal opinion NCI simplifies something thats usually very messy-running across data centers and cloud.Another strong point is its hyperconverged approach by which we dont need separate storage arrays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

There are few setbacks for HCI as well like the cost is high when compared to some open source stacks. Also it is a little confusing if we are new to it. When compared to VMware the ecosystem is small. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
