What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

Its fast, its reliable, its secured and its smooth. Easy to administer the AOS cluster and manage the resources. It gives you a clear picture for your IT infrastructure through PRISM. You can monitor and optimize your infra.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

If anyone interested in having a hyper converged solution then he should consider Nutanix AOS. It is a best solution for virtualization too. It also provides its own cloud and it has compatibility with Azure cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) solving and how is that benefiting you?

It has changed the DataCenter completely. Our 3 full racks are literally converted to only 3 blocks of 2 OU each. Performance is far far better than previous. Management and monitoring is quite simple and effective.

What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

We use Nutanix as a refreshment for our three tier architecture. Some of the apps (CRM, ERP) and DB (MS SQL) are running on it. It's used by the management information system department and soon will be applied across the entire organization. We see Nutanix as the only proven enterprise cloud platform in the market so far. Next-G data center should be simple, agile, easy to manage, scale out and [provide] strong support. Anyway, we keep utilizing our three-tier as a secondary for our non-critical workload. We use both the NX and XC platform so far but are looking forward to deploying on Cisco UCS in the future. Hope someday Nutanix will be sold as software only just like VMware. What do you like best about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

Most helpful is to standardize on powerful, software-defined HCI. Nutanix Acropolis and the AHV hypervisor were both launched at Nutanix's .NEXT user conference in June 2015 Welcome to the Nutanix world and your understand is almost correct. AOS (formerly NOS) is the Acropolis Operating System and is the base operating system that runs on each CVM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI)?

Focus on Apps & Services is not enough for my needs. It contains a number of data services and features for data protection, space efficiency, scalability, automated data tiering and security. Acropolis comes with its own built-in hypervisor called AHV; the name was derived from the words Acropolis Hypervisor.About hypervisor, Nutanix support AHV (Acropolis HyperVisor), which is the Nutanix free hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere ESXi and Citrix XenServer. What problems is Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Nutanix AOS helped me solve all of my data needs. Unlike competing vendors, Nutanix offers Acropolis as part of the hyper-converged platform with no licensing costs. My understanding is that the Acropolis ( AOS ) software is installed in CVM and CVM is called as Foundation. Hypervisor is either AHV or Vmware or HyperV. The Foundation is a tool used in field to perform cluster creation and imaging bare metal nodes. The Foundation is also built in to the CVMs and in that case, can also be used to perform cluster expansion and by some workflows like LCM (Life Cycle Manager) firmware upgrades. Keep in mind that you can perform Foundation upgrades independently of AOS upgrades to take advantage of new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

the performance is going to degrade when the data from one node failover to another node, and we had an accident facing the data loss, and the whole virtualization platform cannot heal at all Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The simplicity and power of the product is beyond phenomenal. Everything is laid out in a foolproof manner, and regardless of how simple it looks all of the features that are required are right in front of your face, and if you require something more advanced, it can be done from the CLI.
