With NCI, you get Prism Central free of charge to manage multiple clusters. You can also migrate your NCI license from on-premise to the cloud or the other way around, meaning you can have a Hyper-converged infrastructure on-premise or on the cloud. Previously, AOS (the licenses provided before NCI) came with your Nutanix hardware and are perpetual licenses. For NCI, the licenses are subscription-based, meaning you have to renew them after 3 or 5 years (depending on how many subscription years you purchase initially). NCI is still a relatively better option than VMWare as it is still more cost-friendly with all the necessary features. NCI, and HCI, in effect, have helped eliminate datacenter footprints by saving rack space and consumes less electricity than your traditional datacenter infrastructure. I got a Nutanix Hybrid Cloud Scholarship from Udacity to work on cutting-edge cloud computing technology. The best thing I like about Nutanix is its technology is quite advanced compared to AWS, Google Cloud. The speed to deploy apps is relatively faster than any other provider. It is a cost-efficient platform that gives the best cloud computing services. It also provides one platform for any app and cloud to work on and also we can move any app or data between public and private cloud to have complete hybrid performance. Most of the features of Nutanix AOS are highly efficient and the best in the market, but it needs to improve on its User Interface, and the initial cost may be higher than other providers. Nutanix AOS helped me understand more about cloud computing technology like Netflix and Amazon Prime are using cloud technology to store their high amount of data and run it smoothly on their Platform. I have used Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services to understand more about Cloud technology. Still, Nutanix has the edge over them in various ways like technology, Hybrid, Speed Deployment of Apps, Scalability, Availability, and Security. The main drawback ofAOS is their GUI is not user friendly and many time false positive error are reported on their prism element and prism central due to that productivity is heavily affected.
