There really is not much that is to dislike about Numeral. The fact that Numeral itself is a simple and intuitive platform, giving us more power to be able to self-operate. I dislike Numeral for several reasons. The customer service is just awful. They don't know how to deal with local or state sales tax, and it takes months to get any response from them. I've even had someone show up at my doorstep warning me about the potential penalties due to incorrect or late filings. They've charged me thousands in fees and penalties on top of their incompetence. The initial setup was very tough to finish. This whole experience has been beyond frustrating. I dislike the numerous little bugs and nuances on the platform that disrupt its functionality. For instance, the dashboard might incorrectly indicate that no collection is happening in a particular state, even when it is. I'm frustrated that even though the system is supposed to automate sales tax compliance and auto-filing, it doesn't perform these tasks effectively. I find customer support unsatisfactory, as they do not adequately address the issues or assist promptly which coupled with the bugs makes for a very unsatisfying experience. We moved to Numeral from TaxJar. Numeral is so much better. The customer service is amazing, and the onboarding team helped make our transition seamless. We file sales tax in 40+ states monthly, quarterly, and annually. Accuracy, timeliness and support is key, and Numeral has provided that for us from day one.
