I also like the updates for the software. **What do you dislike about Nuke?** It does not have a lot default plugins. **Recommendations to others considering Nuke:** It's a very needed product for post production. **What problems is Nuke solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am providing editing services and solving the problems within it. Its mergeable with other product. ### 2. There really isn't very much that can't be done in NUKE, from basic compositing and rotoscoping, to excellent 3D file support and with particle systems and a great library of plugins, NUKE shows its pedigree of being developed deep in the heart of the Hollywood VFX industry when you use it. From its exceptionally quick UI, to wide feature set. NUKE is a powerhouse. With the addition of NUKE STUDIO the FOundry has added an excellent shot management system which can handle complete productions. **What do you dislike about Nuke?** NUKE's price always gets in the way especially since a lot of NUKE's competitors are either free to entry or available for a much lower cost. However, you can get a version of NUKE for free for non-commercial and learning work. As you can do anything with NUKE, the guts of the application and the processes are laid bare, so it can take much longer to setup what seem like simple comps, but once setup the Nodal workflow of NUKE really comes into it's own. **Recommendations to others considering Nuke:** If you want to work in VFX, a basic understanding of NUKE is essential as it is the main tool in studio pipelines throughout the world. **What problems is Nuke solving and how is that benefiting you?** Nuke is used throughout many cretaive industries for compositing, editing (with NUKE STUDIO) and finishing/grading. The foundry are also making a big push into VR with NUKE at the centre of this cretaive push ### 3. You don't have to restack cumbersome layers to get your composite to look right. **What do you dislike about Nuke?** There's a really big learning curve, it takes a long time to learn. Luckily there are plenty of tutorials online. **Recommendations to others considering Nuke:** Nuke is super powerful and can handle just about anything you throw at it, it's just not very easy to learn, so you have to stick with it awhile to really understand it. **What problems is Nuke solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it for compositing some times.
