I really appreciate the amazing customer support from Nucleus; they are very proactive in listening to our needs and problems. It's been great to have built a partnership over the last three years. Also, I love that Nucleus has an API-centric design, allowing us to do a lot of things via the API, which is constantly improving. The modularity and the level of customization and automation rules are also standout features for me. What do you dislike about Nucleus? I'd say the visibility could be improved, especially seeing what's going on behind the scenes in terms of processing. It's not just about the tool and processes but also about asset management. I think more in-depth visibility with Nucleus's asset inventory module would be beneficial. I really appreciate how Nucleus is very useful for reporting purposes, especially in terms of managing vulnerabilities and threat assessments. The ability to schedule reports on a monthly or weekly basis, and even take instant reports, is incredibly beneficial. One of the standout features I absolutely like is the dashboard, which offers options similar to AI, allowing us to schedule reports, apply advanced filters, and quickly retrieve reports. This efficiency is particularly impressive because I can download multiple reports for various programs, which saves a lot of time. The security platform itself is excellent, and I find the dashboard features extremely advanced. It's great for risk prioritization, where I can view risks in terms of their severity—high, critical, medium, or low—and take necessary actions. This makes it very fast and smooth to work with. Additionally, the process of automating tasks is streamlined through dynamic automation frameworks, which includes ticketing and reporting, thus minimizing manual intervention. I think it can be improved by integrating with tools such as a pager or XMeter. Vulnerability overview with different classifications. Filtering by environment and project really helpful. Interface is easy to work with without much training needed. Template section to understand different vulnerabilities and CWSS score helpful. Easy to download the Asset list to various formats like pdf, Excel or CSV. What do you dislike about Nucleus? Though documentation is good but providing a university/academy classes to use the tool will be really helpful. I like that it is easy to use Nucleus. You can create projects to separate prod and non-prod; you can filter by assets (Asset Groups, Asset Types, Business Owner Teams and Support teams). When searching data to input into the "Asset Groups" and other asset fields, you can just type in an owner name and that will search for that text in the whole string. no need to remember the string format or using wild card. I am a very visual person so I love the colorful clock chart for Project Risk Score and Vulnerabilities By Source bar chart. It allows me to sort with the most vulnerable ones on top. I love the color coding to tell me that red is the most urgent ones. I also like the main menu is on the left-hand side and it is easy to drill into sub menu. i like how you can schedule a report or run it on the fly and send out emails. I also like how you can export tickets into .csv format file and work in MS Excel after the export. I like the Import History under Data Ingest has the Excel look and feel and it has refresh button at the bottom I like how we can download the Asset list or report to Excel or CSV format Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. In today's application-centric business climate, there is a huge need to aggregate vulnerabilities from your entire organization, not just infrastructure. Nucleus gives you that ability and helps make sense of it all. Without it, you might be spending a lot of time and effort patching the wrong vulnerabilities wasting precious resources and leaving your company in jeopardy. There is a requirement for security folks to understand the plans, goals and go-to-market strategies of the company they work for to fully understand the vulnerabilities of their organization. This can be a challenge for some folks to do before taking on a solution like Nucleus. It's easy to use Nucleus to pull all those vulnerabilities together and make sense of them. This gives you the ability to patch and remediate the issues that are really affecting your organization in a thoughtful manner and not just patching everything in site (which is impossible to do). The Nucleus Automation Engine makes VM workflows seamless. You can "set and forget" your automation rules, and as new data comes in, they are triggered with no manual intervention required. You can sync assets, ingest vulns, process assets/vulns, notify users and teams through tickets and reports, as well as remove/ignore assets, all automatically! The ability to use regular expressions makes it easy to find common and seemingly uncommon patterns within vulnerability and asset names, allowing you to assign items to different teams through the Automation Engine. Without regex, dynamic variables, and the Automation Engine, most of these processes would be manual, which is why Nucleus is the best tool for the job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Nucleus? Out of the box, Nucleus requires a fair amount of setup to create seamless VM workflows. My time spent in the PoC phase was spent learning the ins and outs of the tool, as well as figuring out if our asset/vuln data sources were compatible with Nucleus' connectors. The data is very indexed through multiple indexes (axis) making it easy for everyone involved to find their details in a manner that is useful to them. The initial learning curve on how data is organized can take a moment to learn, but once understood is very powerful. The updates seem to take a long processing time, during which time the project dashboard can be inaccurate (more than once, users have seen a "zero" risk score when that isn't the case). The ability I have to allow different patching teams access to the information that will make the greatest impact with the work that they are doing has been a great experience. The customization in the UI to allow me to do just that is something I have not had experience within other Vulnerability Management tools I have used in the past. Nucleus should have several templates already set up to use, such as total vulns, how many are fixed, etc. Users and leadership want reports and they will not login to review the data.
